<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v101/Sealynn/icons/kb1a.jpg" align="right">Another clinical day for me, and it was very good! First time I ever gave medications (just only by mouth though...no shots yet) and I took vitals, did a partial bed bath, monitored I/O and did documentation and an assessment. I was really nervous about adminstering the meds, because of everything I learned about med errors and such. (Last thing I want to do! I don't want to be like Elle Driver or something...freaky....) Anyhoo I had my R.N. right there with me, and I triple checked the meds and gave it to my patient. So now I feel much better about it! I felt I actually practiced the things that I learned in class! It was a nice feeling!
On a totally unrelated topic my mom and I were discussing guardian angels, such as do they really exsist, especially in the bible. Well I checked out a couple of websites (and looking it up in verses in the bible) and came to the conclusion that they might exist. Especially with children!
Matthew 18:10 Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.
So I view this as perhaps all children are protected until they reach the age of accountability. Once they reach the age of accountability, they need to get right with God to maintain His protection, and go to heaven.
As for adults...I'm not to sure. This verse from Hebrews can be interpreted as we do, but I could be looking at it wrong:
Hebrews 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
Those are just meh thoughts though. It was a neat thing to discuss with my mom though...and very relaxing. I've had kinda rough past week (see previous journal entry) and that was nice to talk about! Especially nice way to start my fall break! whee
So I'm lying here, just staring at the ceiling tiles, and I'm thinking about what to think about...
