So many things have been going wrong, I’m not going to list them all off, cause really they aren’t that important, and some I just don’t want to talk about…
But mostly it has to do with Jobies… (Pronounced: joe-bee’s)

I guess I should explain Jobies. It’s an organization for young girls ages 10 to 20 that teaches, public speaking, leadership, and helps builds strong women. I have learned a great deal from them, and currently hold the highest bethel title a girl can attain (there are also the grand and supreme titles, but it’s to confusing to write about here), the position of honored queen, I run the bethel (our meeting place), and it is my duty to watch over all the goings on with in our group. Unfortunately as with all organizations that involve parents and children working together, there are some problems. First and foremost, we have issues with the lack of membership, the girls that were big parts of the bethel are now becoming majority members (they have reach the age of 21 and can no longer call them selves daughters) and they are leavening. I have had to watch several girls demit from the bethel (leaving because something has happened and they no longer with to stay with us, possibly going on to another bethel). And there is now an extreme lack of interest from outside girls.

Another problem we have had is that a girl in the bethel (the girl aspiring to be the next honored queen) was voted out. That’s where most of our problems begin.
She had been voted out by the daughters of our bethel, and that is possibly the cruelest thing the girls could have done. There had been issues before but this is, what I believe, to be the breaking point.

Last night (being Wednesday may 23rd) we had our meeting, and before we could elect our new honored queen, who had previously been voted out (we had gone through a lot of trouble trying to get her back in, out of fear that there would be some serious repercussions. We got her appointed, and we were going to have a special election. But one of the adults got several calls saying that the girls would not change there minds and that she would, sadly, be voted out again), she stood up and demitted. And as soon as we were about to install our new council, the grand guardian (the adult in charge of all the Jobies of our district) stood up (she’s supposed to do the ceremony) and suspended our charter (the thing that tells us we can still hold meetings). Basically: we can’t hold regular meetings and, we can’t have our installation (which would be my outstallation, I would go out as honored queen, usually, having another girl take my place). Not only that, I will never truly finish my term; I will become a Past honored queen, I will get my certificate, and ring… but they took away my outstallation, they took my last meeting, and that means it will feel like I never truly finished my term.

We won’t get our charter back till October, unless we can ‘work together’ and get it back sooner. I don’t know what will happen if we don’t get it back before then, and sadly one possibility is that we may lose our bethel for good.

Our meeting was then closed, and every girl went home in tears.
I don’t usually cry that much any more.

And thus ends my rant, and my excuse as to why I don’t have an update.
