Today was hot as s**t, 105° weather truly is the pits, even with your own personal swimming pool. No matter, today's about the nation's birthday. With this said, we launch fireworks into the sky, cook foods on the barby, enjoy the heat, talk lots of bullshit, etectera. One great thing about today, this is a great day to relax... everyone can relax heartily today.
Now, I probably don't sound so patriotic to you... but I'm not American, so that makes sense. I'm an islander and what I like to do on days like this back home is head off to the beach, swim in the sea, scuba dive for shells and enjoy the nice breeze while kicking back under a nice shady tree. And when the night rolls in, go and eat dinner while enjoying the night life at the dance hall, or listen to the sounds of the crickets. That's my idea of enjoying the fourth of any summer month, including July. Fireworks... who needs fireworks when you got the island feel?
Lastly, I wanna say that I'm happy that everything today was great. hopefully the rest of this summer quarter will go nicely. I hope your fourth was just as relaxing as mine, because you'll have to wait another 366 days before it comes around again.
