Captain Planet used to be a hero of mine. For those who aren't in the know, Captain Planet is a champion of Earths' ecosystem. His friends, the Planeteers, each had a ring that corrosponded to an Eliment that they had an affinity with, and they could use thise rings indapendently by calling the name of their eliment...but "by your powers combined, I am Captain Planet!" that was what he always said when he had been awakend by the Planeteers. there were five of them, and they would call out their eliments in a certain combonation:
"Earth!"
"Fire!"
"Wind!"
"Water!"
"Heart!"

Yes...Heart...some of the pplz in my Nihongo class in High School, were talking about Captain Planet this one time...and they started to joke about the Power of Heart...how useless it was, how worthless...

But Heart is the whole point of Captain Planet's story...without the Power of Heart, the remaining four Planeteers could not summon Captain Planet (and as we all know, if the end of an eppisode is near, one needs to combine the strength of friendship in order to overcome it by the last commecial break...unless one is a Power Ranger, then the MegaZord can handle it...but that's for another entry...)

It was also important, i should mention, that each Planeteer was from a different part of the world...because it's not just the problem of individual countries, but of all the World. It's Everyones problem, so everyone should work together to solve it!

If the Power of Heart, which is an eliment that exists within all of us, is ignored, then Captain planet and Gaia will be sad, because pollution, deforrestation, waisting of resorces will destroy our worlds' fragile ecosystem...and then we will all die.
Oh, &don't forget about that tearful Native Amarican (i'm too young to actually remember him, but i do remember that parody of him on Shimpusan no Kazoku)

Yes, Gaia is the name of a char from Captain Planet...so we, as Gaians, should exercize our own power of Heart even more and proudly!
