Okay, guys, I have a bad feeling about this whole "end of the world" thing. I have a feeling that it will, in fact, end. No, it's not gonna be some black hole sucking us all up, no huge comet, no disease-ridden earth. We're gonna do it ourselves.
These damn foreign scientists are working on this thing called a Large Hadron Collider. What this is is pretty much a massive high-energy particle accelerator. These guys are trying to find something called the "Higgs Boson".
Thing is, there are many unknown dangers of this thing. For one, many people are worried that this might trigger a huge disaster that could destroy the earth or even the universe itself. Another concern is that it may be able to create tiny black holes. Though there is a theory that these black holes can be undone before they become too dangerous, this is only a theory and has not been tested yet.
