Just another lesson in how life never bores you if you're paying attention.
December 10, 07

The first entry to my Gaia journal and I am excited! Today was a usual stressful Monday, but I'm glad to be home.

Since this is the first entry, I should introduce myself. My real name is Carly Hamilton, and I like to do a lot of writing. My avatar, Chiro Roseheana. is named after a character in one of my stories. Well, the character Chiro Roseheana was male, and my avatar is female, but oh well. I'm not dating anyone as of now, which suits me.... I like not dating. I have so much time to myself.
My favorite thing to do in my free time is play video games. In fact, my favorite thing to do when I'm supposed to be doing something else is play video games. I'm a little behind in my schoolwork, and I'd like to be on top of things this school year, but the gamecube always gets me..... My favorite is the Legend of Zelda series. I have Twilight Princess for gamecube, and I've beaten it 3 times!
I'm nearsighted, but I have really good hearing. REALLY good. Like, CAT hearing. I swear I can hear lights turned on emitting a high- pitched whine. So people who slam lockers and yell bother me ten times as much as they do to other people.
I love nintendo, ramen, good manga, reading, music, and animation. I'd love to have a job as an animator, but my high school doesn't offer any animation classes. And changing high schools isn't a very easy choice... I guess I could take animation classes in college, but is having it in high school too better? I guess I'd better start researching my options.....
In real life I'm 15, have brown hair, brown eyes, and slightly tan skin, and my hair is mostly straight, except for this one curly sprig next to my forehead. It showed up about 1 1/2 years ago, and it looks kinda weird when I put my hair in a ponytail. I tried to cut it off once, but it looked even weirder when it was growing back. So now I let it be, and call it the 'lucky sprig'. If anyone mocks the lucky sprig, they are cursed to fall in the punch bowl the next time they go to a party. But so far, nobody has even noticed the lucky sprig.... Maybe it's not as noticable to other people as it is to me.
That's all for today. I hope the addition of this journal helps spruce up my profile.

My first journal entry as of 2008! My sister came back from college over the holidays and it's been way fun to have her back, but she goes back tomorrow. As a kind of going away party, we all took her out to dinner at Olive Garden. (I LOVE the salad there!) I got something called Tuscan Garlic Chicken, which I'd never had before. But it wasn't all that good. Next time I'll just go with an alfredo pasta. You can't miss with that. For dessert we got 2 chocolate tortas and a chocolate gelato, split between all of us (my family has 8 people.) It was very fun.

Financial advice

As I do not own a credit card or debit card, it's really hard for me to buy monthly collectibles. Dangit, monthlly collectibles are Gaia's ultimate get rich quick scheme! I guess my best option for getting a monthly collectible would be to do it postally, but I don't know Gaia's postal adress. (Help?) At first my primary way of getting gaia gold was to do puzzles on insane mode. There was this one that I could do in like 15 minutes. But gradually doing it over and over was worth less and less. From 600 gold to 500, to 400, now I'm lucky to get 300. Once I did that puzzle on insane and I actually got only 47 gold... that was a sad day. Now I have a new get-rich-quick scheme - event items. The 2k7 Christmas event was just last week. From helping orphans I got the ragged ugly scarf, the elephant doll, the ugly seater and the heart of gold. And I got all the Spirited 2k7 stuff by caroling. But going to the shops every minute got tedious really fast. So, while the market was still saturated with people trying to sell all their Spirited 2k7 stuff, I got at least 2 of everything. I think I have like, 5 pairs of the socks. Now here's the deal: you can get those for a couple hundred gold each now, right? But based on the price of Spirited and Spirited 2k6 stuff these days, you can bet your sweet keister that the Spirited 2k7 stuff is going to be worth more in the future than it is right now, correct? I predict that in a year, the average buy price of 2k7 items will be at least a thousand each, and 2-4 thousand each in two years. The same goes for the Orphan items. (I'm putting my money on the heart of gold. I mean, it's a heart of gold. How can there not be demand for that?) It's the law of supply and demand. Since the 2k7 Christmas event is over, the SUPPLY of these items cannot raise any more. But you can bet that as they get rarer and rarer, the DEMAND for them will shoot up over time. Of course, if you wait a few years to sell your event stuff, that will require a lot of patience. But good things come to the patient. I think I will wait at least until next year's Christmas to sell my 2k7 stuff. That's the principle of a 'nest egg', you know. You save some valuable things away for a rainy day until your nest egg hatches and you end up rich. The longer you sit on your event items nest egg, the better it will be when it hatches. Someday I WILL end up a wealthy gaian!!
But until then, I must sit.... and wait.... paaaaaatientlyyyyyyyyy.......

:p
