Excerpt from my Story
“Silence,” shouted Gadaí “It has happened at last. The brat is at last King of the Realm,” Gadaí retorted, finally taking his eyes off the table and setting a blazing gaze at his fellow councilmen, none returning his gaze, and at last resting at the empty chair across from him. “And I think we all know whom is to blame.” a chorus of muffled voices agreeing with him. Gadai stood up, “We have failed! We were all so close to our plan‘s success, so close to wrenching this bloody kingdom from the hands of that whelp, so close to claiming that power. No longer would we have been servants to the house of Conthlaka, but masters ourselves. So close…” The enthusiasm leaving his voice until it was all but a whisper.
