Wow... looking back on this year, I'm still suprised at some of the changes compared to years past O_o
It was January 2007 - 2006 had just ended on a good note, and the new year was about to start... it was a good thing that I was still on Winter Break then biggrin Right after school started up again, what else would be on the to-do list - Valentine's Day Rosemaking~!! =P Yep, the Math Club (under my guidance =^_^= ) geared up for its annual fundraiser. That and the outline for the dreaded Senior Project was due... sometime during the month, I forget O_o
February came swiftly, amidst the afternoons spent making candy roses and young feelings of love... only to culminate on Valentine's Day - and I had the blasted luck to get hit with a cold As fate would also have it, the Math Club competition (yes I go for things like those =P) was also on that day..... I heard reports of how my school's teams were badly organized... aiiiiyaaaa xd
March came and went by pretty uneventfully, save the Math competition then - I did the worst out of all the previous competitions I've went to O_o Oh and the dreaded Senior project had its reserch papers due D:
April made itself known soon enough... and with results too~! ZOMG~! What are said results, you ask? Well for one... that was the month I finally had my biggest wish (then anyways xd ) granted - broadband internet had finally come, THANK THE GODS~!! No more stupid NetZero screen telling me I had used up all 10 of my hours of slow narrowband internet! ... and as a result, my online life grew quite sharply biggrin
May rolled around... this month I came to the realization that after 4 years of high school, 4 years of being in the Math Club, and three years of leading said Math Club... I was going to be "terminated" (for lack of a better word, anyways =P) from all that I held dear.... high school and Math Club But still... time drags on. The final Math Competiton (official one anyways =P) came and went, us coming in around 10th or so... and then the Math Club Banquet came - it was then that the past 4 years that I had been in the math club had gone from highly valuable to priceless. =^_^= ... and then the final dreaded Senior Project presentation came... I think I'm one out of the very few that got out of school with such a half-arsed project to show xd ... and don't get me started about that night called "Senior Ball" o_o;; There be a special journal entry about that floating around somewhere >_>;;;
Then came June - the month that would close the book (no pun intended =P) on one chapter of my life and start a short intermission right after. Within the first few days of June, the school held the graduation ceremony... those memories are but like a dream... I remember on the way home the truth finally sunk in - I had left my high school career behind. 'Twas a good thing that I had the joint club trip to Great America, courtesy of Math and Asian clubs biggrin I came home having acquired a taste for go-kart racing 3nodding ... even IF it was my first time driving a vehicle that could go faster than 10 mph surprised After this, it was summer vacation spent at home.... plus I also signed up for GaiaOnline =P
July passed in that manner also - mainly at home, with only the internet to keep me company... not too bad at least ^^; Checking all my accounts over the internet as usual biggrin Here was also when I ~finally~ got the power of Instant Messaging... yeh I know, i lag behind others sometimes ^^;
August floated on by lazily, what with my little cousins' birthdays, and a short stint with being a part of the workforce.... that lasted about a few weeks xd It would have been better if I had gotten some money to show for it though 0_- And speaking of money.... the days right before college were probably one of the worst times for me D: All the paperwork/bureaucratic processes jsut so I could attend school.... grrrr it still pisses me off sometimes ><
September heralded the start of the next chapter of my life to come: COLLEGE. It was poetic as well - I was attending the college I had wanted to go to for the better part of my academic life, since I came upon the CSUS campus quite early (7th grade for college fairs =P) and now that I was here officially... it was almost comparable to Keitaro finally being accepted into Toudai (see the manga titled Love Hina for details biggrin ) Luckily the money problems ironed themselves out ^_^
October was the month I finally hit the 1-8 barrier =^_^= 'Twas the third biggrin Unfortunately.. this was also the month where I finally realized I was doomed in that blasted programming class -_-;; Other than that, fall's onset was finished and I was finally able to show off my special way of wearing a scarf to everybody else xd I wear my scarves eo they hide my lower face =P Aaaand.. I got promoted to Crew in the deviantArt Guild~! w0000t~! biggrin (PM/Note me if you wanna ask about it =P)
November slogged its way through as Midterms took hold of everyone during the start of the month o_o;; The midterms I did well on were Public Speaking and Calc (of course xd ) - Chem showed that I had a ways to improve, and Programming... don't get me started ^^;
December, the end of the year... also the end of the Fall semester - both a good and bad thing O_o Good because I'm FINALLY rid of that accursed programming class xd Bad because Calc is over Anyways after the end of school... Winter break once again~! biggrin Christmas came both longinly expected and quite unexpectedly O_o That's cause the shops had started peddling their Christmas deals well before Thanksgiving was over with, and I had no idea Christmas was as close until I looked at the calendar ^^; And now, being that this is the last day of the whole year, I am sitting here typing this xd
For Auld Lang Syne, my dear~
For Auld Lang Syne~
We'll take a cup of kindness yet~
For Auld Lang Syne~
Happy New Year~!!! biggrin
