Rising Stars is a comic book series published by Top Cow (the same people who first beought us Sarah Pezzini and the Witchblade). It is written, created and masterminded by one of my favorite writers, J. Michal Straczynski, (the guy who brought Babylon 5 to telivision, and changed the way eveyone looked at multi-season spanning plotlines).
Straczynski creates epics, and pantheons. The Rising Stars are such a pantheon (in the godly sence-and not just because they have powers, but no one else does. Straczynski uses a lot of biblical allution and subtext...)
note-Straczynski currently writes for Marvel comics, and his ocs from Rising Stars probably won't be seen on Earth 616 (M-Side), but he has touched the lives of Spiderman and his family, has helped those close to Steeve Rogers coup with his untimely death, has remade the Squadron Supreeme into the Ultimated Supreeme Power, and has lead the Silver Surfer back home to Zen-La.
secound not-(prob more important) the above poem is contained in it's entirety (though sometimes spread out over the course of a volume) of every collected eddition of Rising Stars comics that exist (I belive there are 4 volumes to date...maybie 5?) I lay not claime to that poem, I just wanted it to be read...and I wanted to remember it for myself...
