The Tales of Zegwar
I can go anywhere I want to do just by imagining it, if you'd like to join me all you have to do is believe. So read what I write, even those few that aren't about my make-believe world of Zegwar. I promise, fun awaits those who dare enter my mind...
NOTE: Kitwea
So once again I am gifted with nothing - just writer’s block. So I got bored and reread the prologue to the first story I ever wrote. “The Mages and the Scepter of Zegwar”. It was the thing that started it all and it eventually led to Kit. The story was about Cair Lagensi and Kita and their team saving the world Zegwar from the evil king Calis. So I was reading it and it sucked. No I mean it was really bad. I was so proud of it at the time. It took two years to complete, I started it in the 7th grade - which kind of explains why it is so horrible. So I’ve come to conclusion that I’m just going to completely redo the thing this time so It makes some sense to people other than me.
But before I do that I was thinking about Kitwea. I’ve probably vaguely mentioned her in some of the other notes. But I doubt most of you even know who she is. She was Kita’s twin sister. And I am completely fascinated by their relationship. As some of you do know Kita is the reincarnation of two other mages from ancient times on Zegwar named Kizap and Kizo. So you might have wondered why two souls ended up in Kita since she had a twin sister and Kizap and Kizo were twins.
It was because of Lintu. Lintu is basically the major villain through out the stories every time they get reincarnated it’s because he’s found his way back to the world of the living and they have to come and stop him. Lintu possessed Kita and Kitwea’s father and turned him evil. When their mother was pregnant with them he realized that the children she was carrying would have the power to stop him. Originally Kita was going to be the reincarnation of Kizap and Kitwea was Kizo. However when Kitwea was born first he used all the magic he had to prevent this from happening. So in a split second the Powers That Be put both souls inside of Kita because it would take them at least another year to start their plan over again, time they couldn’t give Lintu.
So Kita and Kitwea grew up together and for the most part Lintu - through their father - kept them separated from Zegwar and so they were best friends. He planned to use this to turn Kita too so she couldn’t stop him either. But because Kita had two souls inside of her she was too strong for him. So Kita dedicated herself to protecting Kitwea from him. She figured out the truth when Lintu killed her mother and she secretly witnessed it. However when Lintu realized he could not control her he decided he would have to kill her too. In that moment Kitwea finally does something selfless in order to protect her sister who always protected her. She killed their father and Lintu left his body. However he ended up inside of Kitwea and she turned on Kita. Kita was forced to flee her home but her main goal was still to save Kitwea.
Other than this not much else is openly explained about Kitwea. She seems like a minor character because she really only appears in the scene where she dies (which is a very interesting scene which I will talk about later on in this note). But she is actually really important because she is so close to Kita and technically she is one of the great mages and she is one of Kit’s past lives. Kita and Kitwea grew up together and they really only had each other. Kita always protected Kitwea from everything and Kitwea is depicted as the weaker of the two despite being the older one. She is always scared and cries easily. She is corrupted by those around her, unable to resist the influence of others. Kitwea is basically a puppet for those around her. Kita on the other hand is her strong defender, the protector. She’s smarter and stronger and she makes it her job to take care of her sister.
But you really get to see how much she means to Kita in the aforementioned scene where she dies. Kita is left with no choice but to kill and once she’s gone so is Kita. She has a complete break down and it’s the one scene where Kita actually falls apart and the reader gets to see it. When Kita dies she’s fine and when she gets her memories back she runs away. She does have a hard time with her past but because she runs away she deals with it on her own. But when Kitwea is gone she can’t hold it in that long. And she just doesn’t care anymore. She cries and begs her to come back to life. She tries healing her over and over even though she’s passed. She holds onto Kitwea’s body and when her friends try to get her away from it she fights them off and clings to even more. She even goes as far as to hold onto her body in her sleep. She won’t even let them bury her for a week and she dreams about letting herself just be buried with her. And after her friends finally get Kitwea’s body away from her and get it buried Kita completely stops talking. She later says that if Lintu hadn’t escaped she most likely would have killed herself but instead she threw herself into a plot of revenge.
Kitwea has a few scenes in later stories as a ghost where you do get to learn more about her. She appeared on Rawgez as the Gate Guardian for Toshadow and then on the Sicagosta Roads. As much of a weakling as she was because Kita protected her so fully she was able to form her own identity. We later that Kitwea probably would have handled Kita’s death better than Kita handled hers because Kita’s whole identity was wrapped up in protecting Kitwea that once her sister was gone she had no other purpose. It never occurred to Kita that she could do anything else. Protecting Kitwea is her driving for it’s all she does and it the reason behind all of her actions.
On Rawgez when Kita is tortured to the point where she actually lost her mind seeing Kitwea is what snaps her out of it. Even before that when she is insane she rarely talks to people and attacks everyone around her. And she says some of her thoughts out load and other cliché crazy things. But she also conversations with Kitwea even though she isn’t really there, and Kitwea is the only person she does that to (the conversations usually involve her begging Kitwea for forgiveness for murdering her).
So in conclusion I’m bored and talk to much and Kinala is important and she even gets a second chance and is reincarnated as Kita’s daughter, Kinala, and then eventually Kit.

Whoa... that is very complicated. Well from the outside it seems that way. I will have to read it again when I am not running on 4 hours of sleep... Either way it is really interesting. Lots of details there...
