I Did Not Write This Poem.

A boy and a girl
She wants to be his world
But he's in love with some whore
She watches them and hopes that to him she'll mean something more

He's all she thinks about
During the night she screams his name aloud
He only thinks of her as a friend
But she wants to be his in the end

He's fallen for a slut
She wishes he knew he was all she ever thinks of
She lies awake at night thinking of him
And she feels the butterflies in her stomach begin to spin

And when he's with her she fakes a smile
And she hopes he'll stick around for a little while
But she knows he doesn't feel the same
And herself is whom she choses to blame

Then one day she went to approach him
But his girlfriend came to her with words that would make her grim
"Stay away from him" is what she'd said
"He doesn't like you, he only pretends
Do you really think he'd really like someone like you?
I only speak the truth.
So do what's best for both of you
And go find something better to do"

The girl walked away
Tears rolling down her face
If only I were more like her is what she was thinking
As her heart began painfully sinking

If only I were more like her is what she has herself thinking
As her heart continues to sink
And this pain she could not shake
And she feels herself begin to break

For she wished the two would be happy together
If only she'd known it wouldn't last forever
For later on he would see
That she was all he'd ever need

For he'd over heard his girlfriend's words
And told her she was nothing but a turd
He then realized that all along that he'd loved her
But to his disgrace
Later that day would be a terrible fate
Because the pain they'd caused her was something she could not erase

For that same night she hung herself upon a tree
Cut her heart open and let it bleed
He came to see her that very night
And when he saw her chills ran down his spine

On the tree she'd carved some words
And there he'd realized how much he'd hurt her
He felt his eyes fill with tears
How could he be so blind through all these years?

There he regreted everything he'd put her through
So he stood there knowing there was only one thing he could do
He hung himself there beside her
Doomed to face a horrid curse
There they died
And angels sang a blue midnight lullaby
