As of today, July 25th, I am 17. I can now buy M-rated video games with no fear and attend R-rated movies without someone sneaking me in. Whoo.

At the festivities a couple days ago, I met up with an old friend I hadn't seen in over a year. I may have mentioned this already, but if I did, I'll just say it again. Anyway, he's changed some. It may just be that he was really tired (he said he had about 3 hours of sleep to work off of), but it seems like he's a lot less energetic than he used to be. On the same note, he seems like he doesn't really care about anything anymore, which bothers me a little. He was never the type to stress out over academics, but at this point, he's talking like it really doesn't matter what happens with his education. His life's ambition is to become a bum. He used to talk about joining the Peace Corps and stuff like that... Maybe I'm just reading too much into stuff, but it still kinda bothered me. Oh well.
