Rants and Rave of Calosis
The great depression returns to the United States
Well, by strict definition the US is not even in a recession, since it must have two quarters of negative gain to GDP (gross domestic product). Well the last quarter the US had a 0.6% Gain in GDP. This is almost flat.

The average person in the US is under siege on all finical fronts, housing values have drop, and the interest rate on homes has climbed dramatically. We now have more foreclosures almost, then new home sales. The average time on the market to sell in Michigan is well over a year.

Jobs are being lost at the rate of over 40,000 a month. Will states like Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, being hit the hardest. These jobs have been outsourced to other countries where the labor is dirt cheap. For Example a Computer Engineer with a Masters degree, and 2-3 Computer Certifications in Mexico, makes about the same as a full time worker at Taco Bell in the US.

The price of gas for our cars has gone wild, yet the oil reserve are the highest ever, and the major oil companies have all scored the largest profits ever so far this year! This has caused ever product we purchase to be increased in price, due to the increased cost of shipping, and even farming.

Where will it end, who the hell knows, but it's looking bleak for sure. Will, the last person to moved out of Michigan please turn off the lights.
