Lamia's Life
Homecoming
I woke up. I went to the desk in the room and left a note telling Jean where I intended to go and then jumped out the window. I headed straight for New Orleans and my parents' house. I arrived in a short time and slowed down. I found my old street and walking up to the front step knocked on the door. I heard my mother yelling at my father as she came to answer the door. TypicalI thought. What else would they be doing but fighting? Nothing

The door opened with my mother's head turned away still yelling at my father.
"What do you...." my mother said as she turned her head towards me.
"Lamia! I thought you were gone forever! Eric she's back!" her mother yelled as she dragged me through the door and hugged me.
"Why is your skin so cold and hard? And why are you so pale?" my mother asked as my sister, Gabrielle, and my father walked in together.
"It doesn't matter dear. She's back! She will get her color and warmth back soon with some good Louisuiana sunshine." my father said to my mother.

"No. There is something different. Something wrong..." my mother said as she released me shaking her head. She studied my face and passive expression.
"Mom can't you tell? She's a vampire! She has finally achieved her sick dream!" my sister said as she burst out laughing.

Hold on, let me inturrupt a minute. My sister, well she was, she was, well she was just a b***h. Always making fun of me. Trashing my stuff turning my parents against me more than they already were. Sorry, I just had to tell you. She was really bad. I hated her. Good riddance.

I smiled. My sister was so stupid.
"That isn't funny Gabrielle." my mother said turning to my 13 year old sister with a stern look.

Sorry to inturrupt again. For once my mom was actually on my side. So wierd. She was always on my sister's side. Oh well, it doesn't last long.

"That isn't possible..." my mother said as she turned her glance back to me. My mother stared at me suddenly eyes widened with realization. My father looked at her to see what was wrong and his eyes widened also realizing the same thing instantaneously.

"Mom, what's wrong? Dad? What is wrong with them?" Gabrielle asked turning to me.
"I don't know. I feel perfectly wonderful." Lamia said smirking down at her sister.
"You are a vampire! Oh my god!" Gabrielle exclaimed she backed up.

At that moment Iasaes burst in followed by Jean and Krytys.
"What are you doing here?" I demanded of them.
"Are these your friends, Lamia? Which one sired you?" Gabrielle asked.

Sorry, got to break in. My sister must have lost her mind. She never was interested in anything going on in my life. What was wrong with her? It was probably because she realized the she could actually be wrong. Shocker. Ok back to the plot.

Iasaes walked slowly towards Gabrielle.
"Iasaes, what are you doing?" I asked aggitated. He reached her sister and takes her in his arms. "Iasaes stop. Please don't! I hate her but she doesn't deserve it." I said as I started to walk towards him but I was grabbed by Jean and Krytys. I struggled but couldn't beak free. Iasaes bent his head over my sister's neck.

"NO! Stop, DON'T! SHE DOESN'T DESERVE IT!" I screamed. I struggle to reach my sister but I'm to late. He lifts his head and drops my sister. "It had to be done she knew to much." he said.

"NO!!!" I screeced. I fell to the ground still held by Jean and Krytys as I saw Iasaes walk towards my mother and father who stood pleading me to help them.
"NOO! I won't let you hurt them!" I cry as I struggle again to try to get out of my captors grips sucessfully. This time I nearly do but they grab me before I can get to my parents. I sat crouched on the floor crying.

"JEAN!!! STOP HIM!!!" I screamed blood-tears falling down my cheeks in sheets. Iasaes finished my parents and the two behind me let go. I sat on the floor weeping angrily.
"Why? Why did you have to do that?" I asked through strangled cries of anger and sadness.
"We couldn't aford the secret of our kind to be let out." Krytys said staring at her pitiless.
"Lamia darling, they would have died eventually." Jean said as he sat next to me holding me and stroking my long black hair.
"Did you have to do it that way?" I asked as I slowly stopped crying.
"We thought it was for the best." Iasaes said his eyes and expression pleading forgiveness with me.

"You thought wrong." I said as I stood up. "I knew they would have to die. But really Iasaes couldn't you have done it using your telepathy so it would cause less pain for me and for them?" I asked as a tear rolled down her cheek and dried there the last one I would shed at the moment. I started for the door to my room. The others followed me.

"I...I..I'm sorry Lamia." Iasaes said casting his glance down.
"I forgive you but only because I knew it had to be done. I knew what you intended from the moment you burst in." I said as I started collecting my things I wanted to take away from the house. I left the room the three following me again, Krytys trailing along at the very back. I went to my mother and father's room and my sister's room and picked up what I wanted. I also wrecked my sister's room getting a secret felling of appeased revenge from it.

"Wait outside." I said as Jean took the items from my arms and with the other two left. I went to the kitchen and found the matches I lit them and threw them to the floor. I went to the main room and pulled the logs out of the fireplace and lit them on the floor with my mind. I went outside and stood next to the others as I watched the house slowly begin burn. I rose into the air and took off for the mountains near Iasaes's. The others followed after but went into the house instead of following me.
