I sat on the mountain motionless and thoughtless. There were only a few minutes before dawn. As the sun came up I didn't move I stayed perfectly still waiting for the sun to burn me to a crisp. All of a sudden Jean came out of no where and grabbed me.
"Let me go!" I cried. "I hate this let me die!!! I'm damned, let me save what is left of my soul!" I yelled. Jean just dragged me into a cave where the sun couldn't reach us and held onto me.
"No Lamia you don't want to die. Stop it." he said in a caring voice as he held me tight.
"Jean let go of me. I won't go in the sun just let go." I said looking in his eyes. He let me go and I laid on him holding him loosely and crying lightly. He kissed my head and stroked me as I fell asleep dreaming of my now dead family and the new one I had to live with now.
