Tonight I had to feed and water the cats and dogs as usual.
I have one of those water things for the cats, you know, the one with the two liter water bottle that screws in to a base with a food dish on the side. Well… I usually fill it with water from the sink, plug it with my finger, and put it in the base. Before I got to the base my mother says “That wont work! It will just make a mess on the floor.” I tell her that’s how I always do it. “No!!! It will make a mess and I (really me… stare ) will have to clean it up” I ask her to trust me and see if I make a mess, to which she replies “Fine!” I put the bottle to the base and screw it in, with out spilling a drop. I look to her to see a response. “Well, still DO you see where you could have made a big mess!?!?” I was in complete and utter shock at what she said… I did a job… I proved her judgment at the time was wrong… and I still get a scolding. What is it that I did wrong that deserved to be reprimanded? I would love to wake up one morning coughing hard, only to find blood in the tissue I was coughing into. Some one… anybody… please… take the pain away and end this.
