I should be sleeping xD but I got distracted by a thread in the GD:
I'M 13 AND VERY MATURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO STFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol in this thread about what the GD stands for, one person said she was very mature and 13 years old. In my opinion, if you actually need to address to others how mature you are, then you are just immature.
It's like running around telling everybody that you are really cool. We all know that these type of people aren't cool at all.
Discuss:
I'M MATURE!!!!!!!!!!!11 scream

Here's what I had to say:
Quote:
I don't agree D; Maturity can have multiple interpretations..
If you put a 18 year old next to a 80 year old, in general, who is going to be called immature?.. (and no I don't want to hear those stories about your crazy immature grandma xD) Maturity is relative.. for a 13 year old some people are awfully mature, we're limited by our experience.. basically by our age. Also I think that by saying that they're mature, they're looking to justify theirselves.. and for the most part that also has to do with age. It's the age when you want people to aprove of you, and thus earn the approval of yourself?
meh, just thoughts xP
edit: but what is maturity really? O.o; a measure of ____ for your age? But a measure of what? how appropriate you act? The difference between one who posts about it and one who doesn't could simply come down to shyness, or being afraid of being shot down.. in that sense, some of the ones who post are being 'mature' in not being afraid of what people will say. (Though you could chock it down to ignorance, or not thinking that far into it.. but actions are influenced by more than conscious thought)
ew xD it's late, it makes me think and talk alot.

I was talking about 13 year olds, announcing they are mature, not all 13 year olds.
Last one, promise! xD <3

and right, 13 year olds announcing they're mature~ but what I was saying is that who's to say that makes them immature (some of them anyway lol) and that to say that some are immature and some aren’t is taking all 13 year olds into consideration anyway - it's a comparison. I'm not trying to shoot you down, just rambling.. discussing?
edit: jeez no one wants to talk xD

Please note, I have nothing against this person - (can you tell i'm thinking too much?) Just what my thoughts where, and how they came up. Needless to say, the thread ended with no one else really having anything to say at all..
