"T-thank you," she gasped out, "That's all... That's all I really wanted in life: just for someone to say that they l-l-loved me."
Her strength and sight were fading deeper and faster into oblivion, but lying there, broken and bleeding in the midst of the wreckage and debris, she knew at the bottom of her heart and soul that she had to find him. The boy who gave her the energy to move her scrambled, near-useless body, the boy that she lived most of her life for, the boy who was the first person in her life ever to tell her that they loved her: Colin
Though her body screamed in agony as she spoke, she cried out with tears flowing out of her eyes and down her face, "I love you, too, Colin!"
She closed the last of the remaining space between them, and saw in horror, the full extent of Colin's injuries:his right leg was twisted at an unnatural angle, his left hand missing his index and ring finger, a long, gushing, jagged gash bleeding through his shirt and onto hers, and a small, but deep slash on his right cheek. Tears were dripping out through his still lively green eyes, and a small grin on his face.
With his good arm, though weak and shaky, he lightly grasped the base of her skull and pulled forward, to bring her face up to his... and kissed her lips gingerly, yet passionate.
In that instant, embracing, kissing, their hearts life force gave out, and time and life stopped for them both, and their two eternal souls, in love, gracefully flew into the heavens above.
