Sojiro Wheeled around, deflecting the bullet with the edge of his sheath. A 'pwang'ing sound resonated as he
resheathed his sword, then swung his right hand downwards. A circular shuriken slid out of his sleeve, then
he hurled the projectile towards his target's throat. Sojiro's attention was diverted and he threw himself
out of the way as a round of rapid fire filled the spot he had just been standing in. The first blue armored
man fell to the side and his pistol shot off three more times before it fell silent beside his dead body.
Sojiro took cover and dived behind an upturned truck. He breathed hard, and laid his head against the burning
metal, instantly recoiling when he felt the heat. When he did, he noticed who he was sitting next to. A pale
skinned shinobi with a white vest was hovering over another smaller boy, who was on his back. He sputtered as
blood poured from the side of his mouth. "Machante, enough..." Sojiro grabbed her growing green hands with
his own, and pulled them away from the boy's body. In a slow motion, he wiped his hands over the boy's face,
and closed his eyes. He had to get the even more pale faced girl to look at him now. "Lets go... We can't
stay here..." Sojiro wanted to wipe the tears from her eyes, but time was important now. He brought his left
hand to his lips and blew as hard as he could.
Sojiro's whistle reached the ears of 4 or 5 shinobi. As they tried to escape, two were mowed down by heavy
gunfire, and the third recieved a bullet wound on his leg. The teen had a pale white vest, and black under-
-clothes, just as Machante. He clutched at his leg and cursed, biting through the pain. A S.W.A.T. officer
rushed the guy, firing 3 times at his Oni Mask. Suddenly, the Oni Mask seemingly came to life, and jumped
at the enemy, all the while devouring the bullets and the body itself. It phased through in a flash, and the
officer fell to his knees, then face forward. His body sizzled with aftershock as the bullets fell harmlessly
in front of him. The thunder wolf, Raikou appeared back in front of the teen, and then absorbed itself back
into his mask. Out of nowhere, a second officer put his gun to the teen's head, and grinned behind his goggles.
"Dodge this." The officer pulled the trigger, but no sound emitted from the pistol. "He won't have to..."
Another form walked forward, his hand raised in a tightly packed fist. The gun broke into pieces, then turned
into liquid as it travelled up the officers arm and covered his head. The officer flailed around as the metal
Elementalist relaxed his hand. The metal cover that surrounded the man's head compacted and squeezed together.
Blood oozed down the side of his neck as his body fell over. The 'metal man' walked forward and held his hand
out. "You okay, Ibara?" The Onibu grabbed the other's hand and was hoisted up. "Damn it, Mikyo. I had him!"
Mikyo laughed while walking away and waving his hand from side to side. "Oh, sure you did."
"I told you to never take this thing off... Especially not in battle, come on now!" Sojiro fixed the mask on
Machante's face, then sighed, looking over the car for any sign of his men. He spotted Mikyo and Ibara fleeing
in a different direction. Ibara would be fine with Mikyo, they would have to split up for now. In his relief,
Sojiro saw Shizuki plump down right next to the two, breathing heavily. His silver hair shook as he gripped his
knuckles angrily. "Damn it, those... God!!" Shizuki slammed his fist down onto the dirt next to him, and grabbed
his mask with his left hand. "They killed Uaremo... Damn it!" Shizuki stood and pulled a kunai out of his pouch.
Sojiro cursed and kicked his legs out from under him. Five feet away in front of them, a bullet hole appeared on a
cement wall. Sojiro grabbed Shizuki's shirt and pulled him close. "Stay low and follow me." He grabbed Machante's
hand and motioned for Shizuki to follow. They ran with their arms flailing , bullets trailing from behind. The
three shinobi exited down a narrow alleyway, and into the dark of the night...
