The morning sun shined through a small crack in the wall and perfectly hit Ibara's closed eye. With a groan, he
turned over and pulled a raggety sheet over his head. After a few seconds, Ibara started up, his eyes wide as he
scanned the room. Boxes and crates lined the giant room by several rows. Ibara peered over his shoulder and saw
that he was six or seven feet in the air. He had been laying on a stack of red mulch, covered by plastic bags.
"Don't move around too much, just sit there for a little while..." Ibara quickly wheeled around and saw Mikyo
resting his back against the wall directly across from Ibara. They had taken refuge in this place, and were
completely level with each other. "The bullet wound isn't gonna kill you, so don't think about it too much. It
was a wonder that the bullet was as small as it was..." Ibara sighed, leaning his head back on the mulch bag, then
rubbing his leg where he remembered he had been shot. "Okay, so what do we do about this situation? We need to
find the others, so lets go." Ibara made an attempt to sit up, but Mikyo made a 'tsk tsk' sound, then shook his
head. "Something like that isn't important right now. Yeah, we should try and find them, but who's to say that
they're still alive?" Ibara's anger got to him, and he jumped up and yelled at Mikyo. "Of course they're still
alive! What do you expect?! Machante wouldn't get killed like that, she's too smart! And you know Sojiro's...
Sojiro wouldn't let that..." Mikyo's eyes shifted from Ibara to the window vertical from them. "Yeah... Sure...
For now, lets just stay here... No need to rush things... I'll get some grub in the meantime..." Mikyo reached
behind him, and tapped the top of his column, then grabbed a corner of the column. He ripped it off like it was
paper. He molded it in his hands for a second, then a metal spider around 1 foot hopped off Mikyo's hand and
through the crack in the window...

Sojiro started awake, lurching forward quickly about a foot. He stopped, noticing he was still leaning against
the alleyway wall, the bamboo surrounding him, Shizuki, and Machante. The other two were on each side of him,
basically using him as a pillow of some kind. They were both leaning against him, sound asleep. He looked from
Machante, then to Shizuki who was gripping a Kunai in his sleep. Sojiro gently removed the Kunai from Shizuki's
hand, then threw it a few feet away. "What now...?" He let the question hang in the air for a second, and sighed
as no one was able to answer it. He had a distinct urge to run down the city streets, destroying everything in his
path. Maybe that would heal the wound of his lost shinobi and close friends? No, nothing could now... He would
have to protect these few, who still had meaning to him. Mikyo and Ibara were fine, Sojiro was sure. But he had
not heard from Akira or even from Akayashi... Those two... No one could take them down... Right? Sojiro reached
out to the side and pulled out a piece of bamboo, then whispered a couple words. "Take-Ryu... Bamboo dragon."
The small, beady-eyed, pygmy of a serpent reared his head then yawned lazily. Sojiro laughed, seeing the not so
spry reaction. Then he got serious, and whispered to it gently, as to not wake the others. "Food... Shelter...
And go find out what you can about that attack..." The bamboo dragon squeaked softly, then shot through a hole in
the bamboo wall...

"I'm not eating that... No, damn it! I'm not going to!"
"You have to, unless you wanna go back to the surface?"
"Better than eating a rat in the damned sewers!"
Akira and Zuzu yelled at each other in the dark, while 3 or 4 rats scurried by. Akira grimaced at the thought of
having to chew on one of them, hear the crunching bones and- blech! "Listen, why don't you be useful and go find
something that I can actually eat?!" Zuzu sounded hurt as it scurried away, then added spite at the end.
"Oww, fine. Your just jealous because you can't slither like I can!" "WHO WOULD WANT TO?!" Akira yelled after
him as he scurried up the small pipe to the world above.

"You've made sure that there is... without a doubt, no metal on or around her whatsoever?"
"Yes sir, she's clean. Ah! Wait."
The guard reached for the suited man's front pocket on his coat, and pulled the pen out. He wagged it in the air
while saying, "She's crafty..." Then he threw it into a small pan on an oddly placed table in the corner of the
room. The man in the suit coughed roughly, then straightened his tie. He had a bald spot on his head, and around
the sides of his head, brown fuzzy hair protruded from his skull. He had no facial hair, but was shadowed, hinting
at the fact that he recently shaved. As the gruffy guard smacked a huge red button next to the door, it swung open,
plastic on the inside of the door shifting slightly. The suited man swiftly stepped into the room and approached
A brilliantly red haired woman wearing an orange jumpsuit. Her face was bruised and one eye fluttered to the point
of almost being beaten shut. She didn't make an attempt to look up at the man, or even acknowledge his prescence
in the room. He smiled as he took a chair in front of the table opposite of her, and sat in it. He placed his
elbows on the table, and stared at her for the longest time. After a long while he finally sat back in exasperation
"Well, you mind telling me your name...? Maybe where your from?" She was quiet, and like before, hadn't even
looked up at him. The man rubbed his chin, then nodded a few times. "Alright, I understand. You don't wanna talk.
Maybe ah... Maybe that pale girl will, then-" His voice was cut off as a flash of red hair slammed into his face,
and he fell backwards. Akayashi stood with her knees bent on the table, her teeth and eyes flashing in anger. Her
beastlike features finally coming into place. The suited man reached for his bloodied nose, sure it was broken.
As the door swung open, a guard came in with a plastic nightstick and raised it to smack the girl down.
"My name, is Akayashi..." One flip later, and the guard with the nightstick was on his back, slumped against the
wall. Akayashi landed on top of the suited man's chest, then grabbed his neck and pulled him closer.
"And if you ever talk about her again, you'll be ripped apart..." Her eyes stabbed into his, and she was about to
make a dash for the door. As she turned her head to flee, her vision was blurred by a spark of white. She felt
herself being electrified, and she was thrown backwards. In her last seconds of conciousness, she saw a second
guard helping up the suited man, a cattle prod in his other hand...
