RAWR
Soulless Affections Chapter 4
YATTA!!!!!! Finished both Chapter 3 and 4 on the same day!!!! Okay. This is where my ideas ended. So it's going to take me a little while for me to think somethin up. Now this chapter was very very amusing to me.
So like I said in the previous chapter, I said that I was gonna combine the Prologue and Chapters 1, 2, and 3 in this one.
Please comment on what you think of my story! I spent a lot of time and effort thinking about what was gonna happen in the story and how I should make things funny and all that crap.
Here we go!!!

Prologue

How did things turn out this way? I didn't want it to happen this way. I hurt me a whole lot when my brother said it. I can't believe that he's blaming me for this. It's not my fault. I told you that I trust my friends. That I only told the people that I trusted the most. Then you said, "That's the problem!!" I was left speechless. I went up to my room, closed my door, locked it, and laid down on my bed. I buried my face in my pillows. "Then who the hell should I trust!?" I had said to myself. I wanted to cry. I wanted to. But for some reason, I couldn't. The last time I cried was when Sakura moved away. I had loved her so much as a sister. I just burst into tears and cried in her arms. The new friends that I made that year were surprised because they had never seen me cry before. But for some reason....I can't cry. Only few tiny droplets rolled down my face. I thought over my brothers' words. His logic made sense. But I trust my friends. Shina wouldn't do anything to take me away from her and the others. Mikoto was stuck at a hospital meant for crazed people. My Beatness Buddy whom I won't name wouldn't do such a thing since I trust him. Tiff I know wouldn't tell without my permission. Heroko wouldn't tell because she's afraid of me when I get angry. Suki wouldn't tell anyone because she doesn't like me getting pissed off at her.
As I entered High School, my mom got another job. Now she had two jobs. I decided to get serious in school since my dad won't be to support this family.
I was stuck there, living with my mom, pissed off Aniki, and my two annoying grandparents.
I sighed as I closed the drapes over the double glass doors that led out to the balcony. I turned and leaned my back on it as I looked around my room. It's been 3 years since all that happened. I now live alone in a place called Winter Night Town. I'm 16 and I'm a Junior in high school. I attend Winter Night Academy, a school for the rich. Some commoners like me are able to get in due to good grades. It's amazing how I just raised my grades up like that what with how much I suck in math.
Me and my brother, Ryu, were split up 3 years ago because we though that it would be best for the both o us. I did have relatives and cousins and all but living with them would just bring back the memories that I wish I never even had. I know my friends would be willing to take me in but even being with them would bring up memories. Me and Ryu split up the money that our mom had left in the bank that way we can have enough money for ourselves. A guy by the name of Hayabusa decided to take Aniki in and Aniki changed his name to Ryu. Since I'm no longer living with my relatives, I decided to change my name to Aerean Hikari.
I sighed to myself, walked over to my bed, and lied down on it. I really want something to happen. Not the thingy that happened 3 years ago. Like something.....BIG. Like a vampire showing up somewhere or Neko showing up on my doorstep. I turned to right and looked at my clock. 5:30 A.M it said. Great. Another night where I didn't get enough sleep. God this sucks. I always had an affection for Supernatural Creatures. I would never ever betray them. Well, that is, unless they're evil. I got out of bed, showered, and dressed in my school uniform. I walked downstairs and just got some pop tart out of the pantry. Who doesn't love pop tart? I grabbed my bag, opened my front door, walked outside, closed, locked and started off to school.

Chapter 1

I walked inside the classroom silently as I ignored the few people who looked at me as I passed by. I went and stood behind my chair and put my bag on my desk that is next to the window. At the corner of my eye, I looked outside, still owed about how great the view of the big courtyard was. Well…this is, after all, a prestigious high school. I wonder how I even manage to raise my grades; especially my math grade. I scanned the courtyard as I sat down in my chair, resting my cheek in the palm of my hand. Then something caught my eye, along with all the other students. There was someone that nobody knows walking behind the principal. The secretary came and was talking with Principal Matsuo. Everyone was staring at the kid now. It looked like he was a few years older then me. He has raven black hair and I can’t see his eyes since he appears to be staring down on the ground.
Hmm…
“Hey guys. Do any of you know this guy?” I asked everyone, still looking at the guy. Everyone came to the window and looked down.
“Huh? A newcomer?”
“Seems like it.”
“I wonder which family he’s from and what they do.”
“He might be one of those gifted commoners.”
“Why is he wearing our uniform?”
“I wonder what kind of personality he has.”
“He doesn’t look convincing.”
I looked at the person who was using my left shoulder as a headrest. It was Narato Kasumi. She’s a good friend I made at this school. She has chocolate brown hair and blue eyes. She’s a couple of centimeters taller then me.
“Why do you say that?” I asked her. “Look at him. He looks like a delinquent.” I looked back at the boy as she continued. “No delinquents can get into this school. Even if a rich kid at this Academy was a delinquent, then he or she would get expelled immediately.”
“You have a good point but no matter what, he won’t be expelled from this Academy.”
Everyone turned their attention to the person that spoke. Everyone recognized that voice very well, because he is not just our class rep, he’s one of the “hottest” guy in school, and our student body president; in Japanese format; Akimoto Hikaru.
He has messy blonde brownish hair that covers a little bit of his eyes but can see them and he as beautiful bright blue eyes. Compare him to me, he’s a few feet taller then I am.
“How come?” a classmate named Baiko asked.
Hikaru chuckled. “Because that new kid is my cousin. He may be a delinquent but he is pretty smart. I asked Principal Matsuo if he can enroll him and he said yes.”
“Hold up!” Kasumi said, placing her elbow on my right shoulder. I gave her a look but she didn’t notice. “Why would a delinquent want to enroll in a prestigious school anyway? The only reason why delinquents come to school is because they are forced to. Usually delinquents would just sleep through class, go home, and then sleep some more.”
“Well I did ask him why he wanted to enroll in this Academy but he just told me to shut up and don’t ask.” Hikaru explained.
“This doesn’t seem right.”
“You think nothing seems right.” I told her in an odd voice.
“Shut up Aer!!” She yelled at me and then turned to glare at Hikaru who returned her with a smile. I looked over my shoulder and looked at the new kid. He looked up and our eyes met. A shot of weird unease went up my spine. He looked away, nodded, and then started walking. It was then I just realized that the secretary had finished talking with Principal Matsuo and motioned for him to follow him.
I turned back around and cupped my chin between my finger and thumb, resting my elbow on my left hand, looking at the ground. “Hikaru’s cousin, huh?” Everybody turned and looked at me. I looked up at Hikaru. “This could be a little chaotic.”
* * * *
“Alright everyone take your seats.” Kagawa-Sensei said. “Everyone. We have a new student today. You probably already know what he looks like because I believe everyone in the whole school was looking at him.” She looked at the door. “You may come in.”
The door opened and in came the new kid. He stood next Kagawa-Sensei and faced us. Everyone’s eyes were all on him. His jacket uniform was unbutton, revealing the white buttoned up collar shirt that all boys were to wear under it, and his hands were tucked in his pockets.
Of course, he has raven black hair but now that we all have a good look at him, it looked like it was a mix of black and blue. The left part of his bangs covered his left eye while the right part covered a little portion of his right eye. His hair seemed neater compared to Hikaru, and it reached down to his neck. His eyes were dark blue with a little bit of black in it, making it darker. Last, he wore a kind of glowing blue diamond necklace.
Kagawa-Sensei looked at Hikaru. “Hikaru-Kun, how about you introduce him for us.”
Hikaru nodded and stood up. “Of course.” He was walked over to the new comer and stood on his left side. “Everyone, like I told you, this is my cousin, Akimoto Ein. He will be enrolling this prestigious academy so I hope everyone treats him nicely.”
For a second, I thought I saw a flicker of anger in his eyes towards Hikaru. I must be seeing things…
“It is a pleasure to meet you, Ein-Kun.” Kagawa-Sensei said, receiving a nod as a response. “Now lets see where to put you…” She started scanning the class.
Hikaru also started looking around until his eyes were on me. Well…I didn’t see his eyes were on me since I was looking out the window but I felt his eyes. No…not just his. But I felt another. I looked at the front of the room to see the Cousin Akimoto looking at me to. I blinked and fully turned to look at them.
“Kagawa-Sensei. There’s that empty seat behind Aerean-Chan.” He said. I looked at Hikaru with a surprised look. Did he just add the “-Chan” honorific? He never did that before. Well, at least not to me.
“Ah! Yes! Aere-Chan (Pronounced “Aerie”) please raise your hand so Ein-Kun can know who you are.” Sensei said.
I sighed and raised my right hand up slowly.
I kept my eyes forward as Ein came walking down the isle. All of a sudden, a shot of cold unease came up my spine…just like that time when our eyes met.
I sat there, frozen as he walked by me.
“Hey, Aer. Are you okay?” a voice whispered
I looked to my right to see Kasumi leaning in to me.
“Oh…Yeah. I’m fine. Don’t worry.”
Kasumi gave a grunt of disapproval.
“Okay everyone!!! Let’s begin the lesson!!” Kagawa-sensei said happily, clapping her hands twice. “We’ll being with algebra first.”
“No…not algebra!!” I groaned as I slammed my head on my table.
“Oh c’mon Aerean.” Misa said, as she turned around in her chair to look at me. “I don’t get you. You hate math yet you’re really good at it.”
“Yeah! How can you not like math and be good at it? That doesn’t make sense!” said Duo.
“Oh shut up you guys!!” I retorted. “Back when I was in middle school, I sucked at Math big time! I always got D’s and C’s. But I mostly got D’s!!”
“Don’t forget that one F you got!” Kasumi said happily.
“Oh shut up, will ya!?” I sighed. “No matter what even if I did get better at it or was good at it from the start, I’ll always hate and detest math. Math can go die for all I care.”
****
I sat back in my chair and stretched arms and legs. “Ah! Finally! Lunch time!!”
“I’ll go get us some lunch, okay?” Kasumi said standing up.
I nodded. “Thanks.”
“How are you feeling, Aerean-chan?”
I looked up to see Hikaru leaning on Kasumi’s desk.
“I feel fine. Oh and…” I stood up and glared at him. “Did something change or something?”
He looked at me with innocent eyes. “What do you mean?”
“The “-Chan” thingy majing!”
“What? You not used to it or something?”
I looked to my right to see Ein looking at me. I glared at him.
“I am used to people saying that honorific to me it’s just that Hikaru never said it to anyone before. That’s all.”
“Doesn’t mean that you have to make a big deal out of it.”
“I’m not making a big deal out of it. I’m merely asking out of curiosity.”
“Well the, let’s just say a change of heart then.” Hikaru said, smiling.
I blinked. “That’s it?”
Akimoto laughed a dark laugh as he stood up. “What? Were you expecting something big? Well guess what, to bad! Curiosity killed the cat.”
“But satisfaction brought it back!” I shot back instantly. I didn’t notice but my voice had rose a bit and had everyone’s attention that were still in the room.
Akimoto scoffed. “Girls like you are really annoying. Those kind of girls shouldn’t be here in this prestigious school.”
I breathed heavily as I held my anger in. I sighed. “Well I’m sorry for being here.” Wow. My voice turned out to be calmer then expected. “But I’m sorry to inform you that I was at this academy first.”
“But Hikaru was here first, am I correct?”
“Oh, so now your asking Hikaru for help? I thought you were a tough guy. I guess you’re not.”
“SHUT THE HELL UP, GIRL!!!”
“I have a name you know. It’s Hikari Aerean. I don’t call you by “boy” now, do I? Akimoto.”
“NOW YOU’RE DEFINATLY ASKING FOR A IT YOU LITTLE DAUGHTER OF A BI-”
“Alright, enough you two.” Hikaru said, stepping in between us.
“Whatever.” I mumbled and sat back down in my chair and looked out the window. There was someone standing there, hiding behind one of the trees. I couldn’t tell what the person looked like or if it was a student from this school.
The figure took one step away from the tree, looked up, and our eyes met. My eyes widened as I recognized the person. The person was a boy. He has raven black hair that reached down to his neck. His hair partially covered his cold blue eyes and he seemed to wear a bandana. He wore a black long sleeve turtleneck with a white-collar sleeveless jacket over it. He wore white baggy pants that had pockets around wear his knees wore and wore black shoes.
I stood up unexpectedly, startling Misa, Hikaru, and Ein.
“Aerean? What’s wrong?” I heard Misa ask me.
“It can’t be…” I mumbled silently to myself but I’m sure that the three of them heard me. It really can’t be. What would He be doing here? There is just no way.
He looked at me a little bit longer. Then, he turned and walked away.
My legs gave out and I felt myself falling. I felt my body hit something hard like a rock and hands on my shoulders.
“Aerean!!!” A voice called. I recognized that voice but I just can’t put my finger on it. I was to startled because of the person I saw.
I felt another pair of hands grab my shoulders and it turned me around. The hands shook me wildly and then I snapped back to reality. I saw that it was Kasumi, her face only inches away from mine.
“Aerean! What is it? Are you okay? What happened?” she asked frantically.
“Relax, it’s not like she’s gonna die or any like that, a voice said to my right.
“Shut up Ein!” she shouted. She turned back to me. “Aerean? Honey, what’s wrong? Hikaru! What happened!?”
“I don’t know. Ein and Aerean were fighting and I stopped them. She sat down and looked out of the window. All of a sudden, she startled us by standing up unexpectedly.”
“Out the window?” she repeated. She turned back to me and held my face between her warm hands, so she can look me in the eyes. “Aerean? What did you see? Who did you see?”
I shook my head and shoved away.
“Aerean. Please tell me. I’m here to help. You know you can trust me.”
“Alright everyone!! Take your seats! We’re back at class!!” Kagawa-Sensei said, clapping her hands to get everyone’s attention. We all sat down and began class.
The bell rang for the school to end. As usual, I walked with Kasumi, Misa and Hikaru, but now accompanied with Ein.
“Um….Aerean?”
“What is it Kasumi?”
“You’re not gonna tell me…aren’t you.”
I stopped walking and looked at her. She was looking down at the ground with sad eyes.
“Is it because you don’t trust me?” She looked at me with pleasing eyes. “What did you see? Who did you see that made you have that shocking expression? I’ve never seen you have that kind of expression unless it’s something terrifying or something that’s good enough to scare you.”
I took a few steps forward, looked at the sky that was almost flooded with clouds, and sighed. “I saw someone who I never thought I would never ever see again.”
“And who would that be?” I heard Hikaru ask.
I turned around to face the four who looked at me with concern. Yes, that means Ein seems to be concerned…..or interested.
“I saw…….I saw my brother.”

Chapter 2

"Your brother? You saw your brother!? You gotta be lying." Kasumi looked at me with a 'You-must've-mistook-him-from-someone-else'
"Kasumi. Would I EVER lie about my brother?" I asked her.
She shook her head. "I just wanna make sure. Who knows? You must've mistook him with some other black haired and blue eyed b*****d like the one we have with us."
"Shut up!" Ein snapped. "So what? She just saw her brother. What's the big deal about that."
"I'm not going to explain. I'll do it later. As for now, I'm going home." I turned to Kasumi. "See ya at school tomorrow." And I walked off.

~After Aerean left~

"Still I don't get it. What's the big deal about seeing her brother?" Ein asked, irritated. He turned to Hikaru. "Hey, Hikaru. Do you know?"
Hikaru shook his head. "No. She nevered opened up to anybody in class except for Kasumi and a few other people. Even though we ended up bring friends, she nevered told me anything."
"Oh . . . . That's right. She never told you or anyone else about her biological family except for me and Kasumi, hasn't she, Hikaru-Kun." Misa said, pitching in.
"We would like to tell Hikaru but we don't want to break our promise." Kasumi said.
"Hey! What about me!?" Ein demanded.
"Why are you desperate to know!? You just met her today idiot!" Kasumi said to him.
"I'm just curious! Ahhhh!!!!! Forget it! Come on Hikaru! Let's go." Ein grabbed Hiakru by the collar of his jacket uniform and pulled him away.

"Boy's these days." Kasumi muttered.
"Yup. I agree with you, Kasu-Chan."

~Hikaru and Ein Conversation as they make their way "Home"~

They walked in silence for a while as they make their way "home".

"Seriously, Ein." Hikaru said, breaking the silence.
"What?" Ein asked in a bored tone, staring straight ahead.
"You really did seem desperate to know why Aerean-Chan's brother is a big deal to her."
"I said it before, didn't I? I said that I was curious."
Hikaru sighed. "Ein, do you really think that I'm stupid? You're definatly not the kind of guy who would be curious about that kind of thing. You would usually just push it aside. What's wrong with you."
Ein made an irritated sigh. He ran his right hand through his hair. "I don't know. I don't know why I was desperate to know. There's just something about her that pisses me off."
Hikaru threw him a "wtf" look.
"Look. I said I don't know alright! Just leave me alone with that, will ya!?"
"Will you be coming to school tomorrow then?"
"Huh? Why are you asking? Of course I'm gonna go."
"Well, tomorrow is going to be kinda sunny and don't you hate the sunlight?"
"Well I- Uh- Dammit!! Just leave me alone will ya!"
He ran off somewhere. Damn. . . . . . . Why am I so pissed off? There's something about that girl that pisses me off, that I know but I don't know why it is . . . . .
"Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! Just thinking about it is pissing me off even more and it's giving me a freaken headache!!!!"

~Now back to Aerean's PoV~

I snapped back to reality and looked around. I hadn't noticed but I had stopped walking. In front of me wasn't the place that I was heading to. I found myself in front of the town park. Sometimes I think that my feet have a mind of it's own. I sighed. I don't think I'm going straight home after all.
I looked up at the sky as I heard thunder. It's going to rain again today.
The weather here in Winter Night Town is perfect. When it's summer, it isn't as hot as the other cities and towns. Of course, it's November and it's been pouring down the past few days. It's bound to snow soon once it hits December. I don't mind the snow. In fact I like it. Kasumi is most likely going to be planning a shopping spree with the others to get things for me for Christmas. I bet her family is going to invite me over for their Thanksgiving dinner. They always do; but I don't mind. Her family is pretty fun. Kind and awesome people. I continued down the sidewalk until arrived at the Hideyoshi Public Library. I walked in as the rain came pouring down and since I didn't have an umbrella, I decided to do my homework.
Hmm. . . . . . maybe I should eat out tonight. . . . .
I'm going to have to do some shopping to for tomorrow. Damn. Why homework for the weekends. Well that's high school most defiantly.
"Um. Hello." a female voice said, interrupting my thoughts.
I looked up to see a girl with pale green hair and green eyes. She seemed to wear a pale red and pink dress with a black sash around her waist and a black ribbon as a tie and one to tie her hair. She also wore brown boots with black leggings that reached up to her thigh. She looked pale. She has this shy looking face with an innocent small smile.
There was a small young boy that stood next to her, his arms crossed behind his head. He had white hair and gray eyes. He wore a white buttoned up collar shirt with a black tie that's out. He also wore black shorts that went down to a little above his knees and black socks with brown school shoes.
I recognized the girl. I think she was a new student, a freshman in class 1-B. I ran into her yesterday and she helped me organize the library books with Hikaru. I saw the little boy come and pick get her from school.
I stood up and looked at her. She was only a few inches shorter then me.
"Oh. It's you. You're name was. . . . . . "
She smiled and said "Emiko. Emiko Wakamatsu. And you also met my little brother when he came to pick me up, Daichi Wakamatsu."
"Ah. Yes. I remember now."
She still smiled and nodded. She held out her hand to shake and I held my hand to.
"Nee-Chan. Why do we have to come to a library. It's boring." Daichi wined.
"Dai-Chan! Be nice!!"
"But why did we come here anyways?"
"Well I saw Senpai and just decided to say hi."
"That's it? Just to say hi? How boring."
She turned back to me. "I'm sorry, Senpai. He's always like this. No manners and all."
Then. . . . . . it all happened all so fast. All of a sudden, there was a huge crash and shaking around.
The next thing I knew it, I was lying on the ground. I sat up rubbing my head, confused. I looked around, a shock expression forming on my face. I quickly looked to my left and saw Emiko unconscious and Daichi between us. I looked around again to see most of the library destroyed. I stood up, stumbling in the process. What the hell just happened. . . . . . . ?
I walked, stumbling a bit, and stepping over a few broken pieces of the walls of the library. I wrapped my hands around my arms, rubbing it because of the cold; due to the rain still falling.
I looked ahead of me, seeing a figure as the smoke cleared. Once it cleared I saw a man there. Still in a daze from the explosion or whatever it was, I took a few steps forward to take a better look at the guy. He has black hair that reaches down to his neck. I tensed when he turned a bit and looked at me. He wasn't smiling. Now I could see that his eyes were purplish blue. He even kinda looks like Ein . . . . .
My body froze as he looked at me.
"HARUKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" a voice shouted from above.
Just then, a huge blast came from where the guy was standing. I held my arms up to keep from the dust to slap my face as I closed my eyes. Just as the smoke cleared, I made out two figures. One of course, was the guy that was standing there looking at me. The other one was a face I've nevered seen before.
The black haired guy that I saw has a sword and a newcomer seemed to have these metallic claws that is equipped on his hands. Their sword's and claws against each other, moving at an inhuman speed. The newcomer seemed to have blonde hair and red eyes.
Just then, Blonde Haired knocked Black Haired back. He stood where the black haired guy stood before he came and attacked. Just then, his eyes fell on me. I froze again. Paralyzed. There's something about his eyes that scares me. Black Haired came at him again but was knocked back again by blonde haired who kept his eyes on me. As he took a step forward, my foot took a step back. Why the hell did I do that? My foot just seemed to move on it's own! Stupid foot. . . .
That's right. I know. I'm scared. I'm afraid of this person. Questions keep flowing into my head. What is his purpose here? Who is he? Who is that black haired guy? Why have a battle here where innocent people are trying to live their lives peacefully? As these questions keep flowing through my head, he keeps taking step to me as I step back, trying not trip. He smirked. He must've saw the fear on my face. The fear in my eyes.
What the hell does he want? Does he want to kill me? Kidnap me?
"Most likely so." he says in a deep blood chilling voice.
I gasped by his sudden remark that I tripped over something soft and hard at the same time and fell on my butt. I looked at the thing that I tripped on and saw that it was a dead body. My eyes widened and looked back at the blonde haired guy.
"W-What did you say?" I asked, still afraid.
"I just answered your question."
"Question? I didn't ask a question. U-Unless. . . . "
"You humans are so stupid. I answered the question you were asking yourself in your head. I can read human's mind. Tch. Stupid human." he replied.
He stopped a few feet in front of me. He smiled an evil smile as he raised his hand up. A bright red glowing ball appeared at the tips of the claw.
"Farewell, human."

Chapter 3

I waited and waited. Waited for Blondie to deliver the blow that will take my life away. I waited for the impact to fall on me. I waited for pain, waited to feel my blood ooze out of my body. But nothing.
I heard a grunting and a rough whisper saying "Basterd."
I opened my eyes to see what the hold up was.
There, right in front of me stood a man with raven black hair.
It wasn't the black haired guy that I just saw, I can tell you that.
I stared at the man with wide eyes, shocked.
His sword was against Blondie's claws. He turned his head so that he could see me.
"Damn it girl! Get up and run!" he shouted.
I blinked. "W-What?"
"I said to run damn it!!"
"Wha- Hold up! Ein what the hell is going o-"
"I said to run or you'll be killed, stupid girl!"
At first I was looking up at Ein who was yelling at me then the next, I felt myself being carried by someone. My head was against his shoulder as he kept running; holding me tightly is his arms. He was running so fast that I could barely make out what’s passing us as he ran. It was then I could make out some things. I guess he’s slowing down.
“Are you alright, Aerean-Chan?” he asked as he slowed down to a walk.
I gasped and looked up at him. “H-Hikaru!?”
I smiled at me and sat me down on a large boulder. I looked around, shocked to see that the place was almost destroyed.
This is the town square. It’s 30minutes away from the library; and we got here so fast to.
I turned and looked at him. He seemed to be examining me to see if I was all right.
“Hikaru. What the hell just happened? Who was that Blondie? Why is the whole town destroyed?” I asked him without myself knowing.
He wasn’t smiling anymore, but his face was composed in a calm and worried expression. He kneeled down so that he can talk on an even level with me. “I want you to be honest with me, okay? I want to help you. So please listen to every word I say. Are you frightened, Aerean-Chan?”
I nodded, my eyes wide, my body shaking violently from fear. My hands wrapped itself around my upper arms. “W-What’s going on?” I asked in a whisper, my voice shaking.
“I’ll answer that question soon. Aerean-Chan.” His expression turned soft. “Do you believe in SuperNatural Creatures?”
“Eh?” I asked, even more shocked. He still looked at me, with his calm worried face of his, waiting for me to answer. I stared at the ground, still shaking.
“You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to. I won’t force you.”
I shook my head and looked back up at him. “No! I’ll answer your question. That question just caught me off-guard is all.”
I cleared my throat and looked down on the ground. “I’m not sure if I still do believe in them”
“ ‘Still do?’”
I nodded. “Back when I entered middle school, I lost all hope. I was always a serious person and I always got pissed at the littlest things. I didn’t know it, but I’ve always liked anime. I met people and became friends with people who loved anime like me. But brother started to read these dragons books so I decided to read them to; to see what they’re like. In 7th grade, I was more into anime. In a lot of animes I watched, there were always these SuperNatural Creatures. Like Bleach with Soul Reapers, Karin and Vampire Knight with Vampires, Devil May Cry with Vampires and Demons, Loveless with Nekos, D.N Angel with Angels, and Inuyasha with all these Demons and Half Breeds. I became curious about these creatures. I went into quizilla to see what kinds of things they had of these creatures and it turned out that they had numerous stories and quizzes on these creatures. Then I found this quiz called ‘Who do you attract? A Demon, Angel, Neko or Half Breed?’ I decided to take that quiz out of curiosity and before I knew it, I was obsessed with the quiz and the characters in it. I was just so curious of how the forbidden love story would end. I was shocked at the end and almost cried. It was a really tragic ending. I became fond of the characters and the story that I kept reading it over and over again. Then in 8th grade, I met a girl by the name of Masha Suzumiya. It turned out that she loved anime as much as I did. She became friends with my friends and we always had fun together. Then during in the middle of the school year, my friend who became one of my best friend in 8th grade, Mikoto Sukimachi, and Masha were talking about a particular book. I saw Mikoto holding a book that had these hands holding an apple. ‘I know I saw that book before’ I thought to myself. It was then Mikoto and Masha kept on talking and talking about it so I became curious. Mikoto comes up to me and says ‘You gotta read Twilight’. She keeps telling me that until I snapped and said ‘I would read it if you would just give me the book already.’” I smiled at the memory then I realized that I still haven’t answered his question. I looked up quickly. “I-I’m sorry! I haven’t answered your question yet! Bu- Um. .”
Hikaru laughed. “It’s alright. You’re story seems interesting. Please, keep going.” “A-Are you sure?” “Yes. I’m sure”
“Okay um. . . Oh yeah! Okay. So I finally got the book and finished it in just two days. I’ve never read that fast before. I became obsessed with the book and before I knew it, I finished read the second book, New Moon, and the third book, Eclipse. Until in freshman year, I finally got Breaking Dawn from a dear best friend, Suki.”
“What was the book about?”
“The book is about a 17 year old girl by the name of Isabella Marie Swan but she likes to be called Bella. She used to live in Phoenix, Arizona with her mom but then she moved to go live in Forks, Washington with her father, Charlie. There, she meets this pale guy by the name of Edward Cullen. Edward’s skin was pale, he had bronze hair, and bright yellow eyes. Edward hated Bella because he couldn’t read her mind and because her blood drove him crazy.”
“Blood? So that means Edward is a…?”
I nodded. “He’s a Vampire; A vegetarian Vampire though. Edward and his “family” feed on animal blood instead of human blood. Drinking human blood goes against their beliefs. The father in the family is Carlisle, the mother is Esme, the sisters are Alice and Rosalie, the brothers are Emmett and Jasper, plus Edward. Edward and Bella soon fall in love and all these events started happening. Bella has a best friend whose name is Jacob Black. He’s one year younger then Bella. Bella soon find out that Jacob is a werewolf. He was huge. In the 4th book, Breaking Dawn, it last said that Jake was almost 7 feet! I was like ‘Holy s**t!’” My face turned sad then. “Everyday I always wished for something to happen. I didn’t want to live in that world anymore. I hated it. I hated that family. Life was just so boring. So everyday, I wished and wished for something to come and take me away. I promised my friends that I wouldn’t commit suicide. But I almost did when my parents went out and I was home alone with my brother. I decided not to kill myself and to let go of that selfish thought for their sake. I wouldn’t care if it were an evil spirit, demon, monster, or vampire. I didn’t want to face that world. Before I knew it, I started to let it all go and started focusing on the read world. So I’m not sure if I still do believe in them but there’s one thing that I know I’m sure of.”
I looked up at him with a sure expression. “Hikaru. That blonde guy, that black haired on I saw before, possibly Ein, and you, Hikaru; all of you aren’t human.
He smiled at me. “Yes. You’re correct.”
“And I can’t tell anyone about your existence. If I do, then I would be severely punished by your lords.”
“You know a lot.” “That’s how much I was obsessed with you creatures.”
He chuckled and stood up. He held his hand out to me and I took it. His hand is so warm compared to my always-cold hands.
“My goodness your hands are really cold.” Hikaru comments as he pulls me up.
“I know. I’m used to my hands always being cold.” He then took my other hand and held them in both of his hands. I stared at our hands, lost in thought.
“Feel better?” he asked, smiling.
“Huh? Oh. Yeah. Better. I’m sorry for spacing out like that.”
He smiled.
“HIKARU!!!” a voice shouted from behind Hikaru.
Hikaru turned while I leaned to the side a bit to see who it was. I still got to get used to hearing that voice.
It was Ein. His left shoulder was stained with blood and blood trickled down from his head to his chin. He’s panting hard.
“Come on! We gotta go! This place is history!”
“Eh? Wha- Wait! Didn’t you kill him!?” I demanded.
“That person is of a high level. He cannot be defeated easily.” Hikaru says, his face now serious. Then, bright transparent white wings appeared on his back.
“Whoa . . .” I mumbled in amazement.
Hikaru then walked up to me, put his left hand around my waist while his other hands picked my legs up. He held me tightly again.
Ein’s face turned into a shocked expression. “Wha- Hikaru! Why the hell did you just do that in front of her!?” he demanded.
“I’ve told her about our existence.” “What!?” “She can keep a secret.” “And how the hell would you know? She’s just another one of those lowly humans who would beg for their stupid little lives to be spared!”
That was it. I snapped.
“WILL YOU JUST SHUT THE ******** UP!!”
The both of them looked at me with shocked expression.
I looked at Ein with as much hatred in my expression and with as much acid I can put in my voice. “You know NOTHING about me, Got that!? Now you just shut the hell up and let Hikaru do whatever he likes. If he trusts me then what the hell. You can’t do anything about that. Now close that big mouth of yours before I do it for you so we can get the hell out of here.”
“Come on, Ein.”
I didn’t hear Ein respond nor did I see how he responded.
“Are you scared?” Hikaru asked, smiling at me.
“I’ve always wanted to fly. But I would be scared if I didn’t know you better.” “Oh really?” “Yeah. The only thing that I’m scared of is that you’ll drop me but I know you wouldn’t.”
Hikaru laughed then took off flying.

Now it's time for Chapter 4!!! I really had fun typing this chapter! Please enjoy to the fullest!!!

Chapter 4

Where . . . am I? What is this? Something comfortable beneath my body. It’s so . . . so soft.
Hmm. . . . . I hear . . . . birds chirping. Wherever this is, I kinda like it. It’s so warm and cozy. I don’t think I ever want to leave this place.
CRASH
I gasped, sat up, startled, panting. What the hell was that noise? I looked around this place that I’m in. To my left was a balcony. The door was opened and the drapes blew gently and gracefully. Cherry Blossoms flew around beautifully. In the Southern end of the wall was a closet. To the left was a door. On the side where the bed was, was a door that led to a bathroom but it was on the far side of the wall. The bed sheets and pillows were white. The bed seemed to be a queen-sized bed.
I got out of bed and opened the door. There was a hallway that looked like it never ended. I cocked my head to the side, still half asleep. A mansion? I looked back into the room I just came out of. It did looked pretty big. I turned back towards the hallway again. I made up my mind and took a step forward. After a few minutes, there were stairs. Stairs. Why stairs? Tch. Stupid Stairs.
I sighed and walked down. After a few more minutes, I was at the bottom of the stairs. I looked around the room. It looked like a living room. There were red couches there and a black plasma screen t.v there. Holy s**t. The people that live here must be filthy rich. Not just with the plasma screen t.v. Bit the place that seemed like a living room was huge. Plus the room I was in was huge to. And the hallways. Normal houses wouldn’t have long extended hallways like that. Unless it’s a castle or a mansion.
I looked to my left and saw a door that was cracked open. I walked over to it quietly and looked through the crack, keeping my breathing even and soft. There were 6 of them in there. I recognized Hikaru, Ein, and that one black haired guy I saw which I think Blondie called him Haruka.
“Calm down Ein! We don’t wanna wake her up!” One of them said. The one who spoke seemed to have . . . . cat ears and tail? A neko.
“She can wake up for all I care! Hikaru! Why the hell did you bring her!? She lives by herself right? She can survive on her own.” Ein demanded, half yelling.
“Its just as she said, right? I brang her with me because I wanted to bring her with me. Besides, she told me that she believes that we exist.”
“What? Really?” The neko asked, excited.
Hikaru nodded to him. “I trust Aerean-Chan. I know that she can keep secrets.” “Look Hikaru! I don’t care if you know her longer then me. I, for one, don’t trust her!”
“You never trusted humans, Ein. And yet, why did you decide to attend a human school?” a new voice asked. I looked at the spoker. He has red hair and deep red eyes. He seemed to wear a silver bandana with his bangs partially covering his eyes.
“That’s none of your business, Ichiro!”
“Jeez. Someone’s temperamental as always, right?” someone whispered in my ear. I turned around to see that black haired guy from that one time. I think his name was Haruka. I jumped back, startled at how close his face was to mine.
I couldn’t see, but I felt that weird chilling down your spine that someone or some people are looking at you.
I turned around slowly to see them all looking at me. Then, my eyes met Eins.
“Freaking human eavesdropping on us!!” he yelled at me.
“Ein shut up, will ya!” Haruka said to him, standing behind me on my right side.
“Why should I? Hikaru shouldn’t have told her about our existence! She’s gonna tell all her friends about all this and what we really are! We can’t just her! We can’t trust humans! Even if she did meant her word that she’ll keep all this a secret, she’ll be just like the rest of em telling everyone what we really are then we’ll have to leave this place to face torture.”
I flinched, causing everyone to turn to me again.
“Fine. You want me to leave, then I’ll leave.” I said in calm voice, holding my anger in.
“Wha- But! You don’t have to leave if you don’t want to!” The Neko boy said to me.
I shook my head. “If my leaving will calm down Demon-Boy here then I will.”
Everyone looked at me with surprised and shocked expression. Including Ein.
“H-How did you know that I’m a. . . .” Ein trailed off.
I sighed. “Like I told Hikaru, I was so obsessed with all of you creatures that I took note on your appearance, skin color, everything.” I softened my voice(hopefully) and kept my face composed into a calm expression. “Just as the saying goes, even if you read books that are a lot like the first one and you pick up one particular book, you shouldn’t judge it to be like all the others. You have to read the back of the book or read the first chapter of the book. If the first chapter is boring, then go on to the 2nd chapter because that’s where the fun and amusement begins.”
“Are you saying that you’re not like the other humans we’ve trusted?” Ein demanded through his teeth, looking away. His hands were clutched into fists and they were shaking.
“No. I’m not saying that. It’s something that you have to decide for yourself.”
He looked at me then, with a shocked expression.
“Um, if you guys don’t mind, is it alright if I stay here for a while? Just like Ein said, the town was history and now I think everything is destroyed; including my home. I promise I won’t get in your way or anything.”
Hikaru smiled. “Of course. You’re welcome to stay here anytime.”
“Yeah! I don’t mind either!” Neko boy said in an enthusiastic voice.
“No objections here.” Haruka said, grinning. “Ichiru, Makoto, you two don’t mind, do ya?”
“None.” “Same here.”
Neko boy turned to Ein. “Ein. You don’t mind, do ya?”
“Tch. Yeah I don’t mind.” He turned to me then. “Listen girl. You can stay here as long as you don’t cause any trouble. Don’t get in our way either. As for food. . . . .”
“No one freeloads at this house, am I correct?” I finished for him.
Ein looked at me with a dumbfounded look.
I laughed. And I guess me laughing caught everyone’s attention again.
“That’s a rule I always used back then when I lived with my biological family. Even when my cousins came over, I always told that no one freeloads at that house. If there’s anything I can do, please tell me. Oh and. . . . . what am I gonna do with clothes?” I started thinking then gasped.
“What? What is it?” Haruka demanded to me in a worried voice.
“Awww DAMN!!!” I shouted in an irritated voice.
“Aerean-Chan?” Hikaru asked, walking to me.
“Crap! No! My I-pod!! My cell phone! Crap! There goes my posters Andy gave me and NOOOOOO!!!!”
“What is it already!?” Ein demanded.
”Aww . . . . . there goes my New Moon.” I sniffed. “New Moon . . . Crap! My money!!! Ahhhh!!!!!!! I’m history . . . .Aww!!! And my favorite clothes! Damn! Not that awesome favorite hat that I stole from my mom!!!”
I gasped and then groaned. My legs gave out and I fell to the floor, my arms dangling. “Aww . . . . . .There goes the Chibi Rukia and Byakuya dolls that Aniki got me for Christmas.
It was quiet then everyone started laughing.
I looked at everyone, dumbfounded.
“Aerean-Chan. Did you really think we would take you here without bringing any of your belongings?”
“E-EHHHHHH”
Everyone laughed even harder. I sighed then smiled.
I saw Ein leave the room. I cocked my head to the side. I stood and followed him. I was then in a room that looked like a library. Ein stood there, has back to me.
I heard a muffled sound from him. Is he. . . . . laughing?
“Ein?”
He then broke into laughter.
“E-Ein?”
“Jeez girl! I HATE to admit it but that was very amusing.” He said, still laughing.
I chuckled. “Wow. I must be very amusing or funny if I can make a demon laugh.” I hope he really doesn’t hate me as much now. I don’t go well when I’m living in the same house as a person who hates me.
“So you don’t hate me as much now?” I asked.
He turned, a grin on his face. “Don’t get your hopes up, girl. After a while I’m sure I’ll get used to ya.” He laughed once more then walked towards me. As he was walking past me, he put a hand on my hand then walked out the room.
I turned as he left. I touched my head. Hmm. . . . living in the same house with SuperNatural Creatures.
I smiled. “This’ll be interesting.”
