Chapter 5
I woke up, stretching and yawning. That was a good sleep. I sat up and looked around the room. Oh yeah. Hikaru took me here and there’re letting me staying here for a while.
I got out of bed and looked at my outfit. Why am I still wearing this huge buttoned up white shirt that reaches all the way to my knees, past my hands, and belongs to Ein? I looked at myself in the mirror. Okay. I really need to shower now.
I walked into the bathroom, brushed my teeth, stripped off these clothes, and went into the shower.
After a few minutes, I got out, dried myself, and wrapped myself in a towel. I walked over to my dresser and opened it. I took out a black buttoned up collar shirt with the buttons going down to the middle. I pulled out a white spaghetti strapped shirt and put it on then the black shirt. Then I pulled out a pair of dark blue baggy jeans and put it on and put some socks on. I brushed my hair then pulled out my favorite hat that I stole from my mom and put it on. I looked at myself in the mirror and nodded in satisfaction. I walked over to the double glass doors and stepped out onto the balcony. A cherry blossom tree leaned over the house. I clutched the banister and looked down. Holy s**t. This house is 3 stories high!? Sweet!! A gentle wind blew on my face, my hair flying gracefully. Now . . . . what to do. I looked at my wristwatch. It read 7:30 a.m.
The boys might still be asleep. What should I do at this time? Oh! I know! I’ve always wanted to get lost in a mansion! That’s what I’ll do! I’ll get lost!
“Sweet.” I mumbled to myself. I walked over to my dresser, pulled my hat off and tied my hair up. I put my hat back on and opened the door. That long hallway stood before me again. Let’s see . . . . . . While getting lost, I can explore at the same time!
“Onwards!” I whispered excitedly.
I walked on and on and on until I reached the stairs. I smiled to myself and made my way. I reached the second floor and heard a noise. I turned and walked to where the noise came from. There was a door cracked open at the end of the hall. There was light coming from it. I peeked in it and saw Ichiro, Haruka, Nya, and Ein.
“Damn it Ichiro!” Ein yelled. “You’re dead.”
“Your temper is your weakness. The cocky ones are always the ones who will be defeated and killed.” Ichiro shot back.
“Will you stop shouting, Ein?” Haruka said, a hint of boredom in his voice. “If you keep screaming like that then you’ll wake Aerean up.”
“So what? She’s gonna wake up soon or later. Besides, her room’s on the third floor. This is the second floor Haruka.” Ein replied.
“It’s early in the morning though.”
“Actually . . .” Nya started to say.
I opened the door and everyone turned to look. “It’s okay. I’m already awake.”
“How long were you here?” Haruka asked, a grin spreading across his face.
“Not long.” I replied. “I was walking down stairs when I heard a noise. I walked over here and then I heard Ein say ‘Damn it Ichiro. You’re dead.’”
“Is that the hat you said that you stole from your mom?” Nya asked as he skipped over to me and wrapped his arms around my left arm. Nya was a little taller then me. I only reach up to his green eyes.
I smiled and nodded. “It is.” Nya laughed. “You’re a bad person.” “Isn’t anyone else?” “True.”
“Back to fight!” Ein shouted. “Come one Ichiro!! Rematch.” “You’re only going to end up getting hurt.” “And since when do you care!?” “I really don’t care. I’m just going to end up being scolded by Nami if I put a scratch on you.”
“Nami?” I asked, curious.
Ichiro looked at me. “That’s right. You haven’t met her yet. Nami is in love with Ein.”
“That damn human.” Ein snarled and turned to me. “Look, if she comes up to you and tells you to back off of me or something, saying something like I belong to her, or saying something like we’re gonna get married, don’t listen to her.”
“Is that the kind of girl she is?” I asked, blankly.
“Yeah. Why? What’s wrong, Aer?” Nya asked.
“Humph. I hate her already.” I replied crossing my arms. Everyone blinked and looked at each other.
“Why would you hate her already? You haven’t even met her.”
“I know. But by the things Ein told me just now, those are the kind of traits that pisses me off.”
“Whatcha guys talking about?” A new voice said behind us.
Nya jumped back, away from me, startled.
“Hmm. . . . So this is the human girl Hikaru brought home.” The sinister voice said.
I felt his breath on my neck. “And she smells simply . . . . . mouthwatering.”
My eyes widened.
The next thing I knew, I was on a cushion, with Ichiro kneeling down next to me, his hands on my shoulders, glaring at the new person.
“She’s not your food, Devarion.” Ein said to him. I’m surprised he didn’t yell.
I looked at this person called Devarion. He wore a white-collar shirt that was unbuttoned. He wore black jeans and black dashing shoes. His skin was paler then Ein’s. His hair was black and his eyes were red.
“A-A Vampire!?” I nearly shouted.
They all looked at me again.
Devarion stared at me then grinned. “Interesting. She knows what I am.”
I blinked then pulled out my I-pod. I put on a song called Before I Forget by Slipknot.
I lied down on the comfy cushion and closed my eyes.
I sat up then and said “You know what? I’m hungry.”
Devarion laughed. “Breakfast time for the human.”
I laughed then smiled. I stood up and stretched. Then the song, Tomorrow by SR-71 came on my I-pod. I blinked and took it out of my pocket and looked at it. The lyrics came.

I clutched my I-pod, remembering my past. I walked to the door but stopped a little ways behind Devarion.
“If I were to snap and wanting to kill someone from my biological family, would guys try to stop me?”
I then, walked out of the room.
~The boy’s PoV~
Aerean took out her I-pod and clutched it.
She walked forward but stopped little ways behind Devarion.
“If I were to snap and wanting to kill someone from my biological family, would guys try to stop me?”
The boys looked at her with shocked expressions. Then she walked out.
“D-Do you guys know what she means by that?” Nya asked, terrified.
All of them shook their head.
“But she said that if she snaps and would want to kill someone from her biological family . . .” Ichiro thought out loud.
“Then that means something must’ve happened between her and her family.” Haruka said.
“Alright guys. Enough of this. No talking about her past behind her back.” Ein said as he exited the room.
~Back to Aerean’s PoV~
I reached the stairs. I clutched my I-pod tighter. “Tch. Damn this all to hell.”
“Aerean-Chan?”
My head snapped up, seeing Hikaru standing there in the middle of the stairs, looking at me with a concerned look on his face.
“Hikaru . . .”
“Aerean-Chan. Is there something wrong?”
“No. I’m okay. Just some flashbacks of the past came back to me is all. Oh and I just met Devarion. When he said ‘Mouthwatering’, it sent chills down my back.” I laughed. I walked onto the stairs and made my way down with Hikaru following behind me.

It’s already been 10 days since I’ve been here. It’s been very fun and definatly amusing. Thank god I don’t have to go to school. But. . . . . I wonder if Kasumi is okay.
I stood in the kitchen alone, staring out the window, dazed.
We had finished lunch and I had just finished washing the dishes.
Just then I heard a door open then closed.
I looked to my left to find some guy I haven’t met in the hallway, looking at me.
He looked older then the rest of the boys . . . . . and taller. If I were to stand next to him, I think that I would just reach up to his chest. The rest of the guys, I would just reach up to their shoulder or chin.
He wasn’t pale like the others. He had some color like Hikaru, Nya, and Ichiro.
This guy seemed to wear some brown clothing and holding a sword. He has brown bushy hair that covers his right eye. His eyes were a goldish yellow.
He turned to me. “You must be Aerean Hikari. The human girl Hikaru informed me about. My name is Hayate; the leader of this group.”
