Necchan has a Blurb~
I don't actually know. Stuff. I'm pretty random, and sometimes moody, so you never know what you're gonna get. Lots of my writing, that's for sure.
Love and Other Disasters [Chapter Five]
“So…Princess…” Alek said, trying to start conversation.
“Only the reincarnation of one,” I put in.
“And Yasuo the Prince.” I nodded. My head was starting to hurt. I couldn’t handle all of this. People were staring at me and scrambled to get out of my way as Alek and I walked down the street.
“Alek, I’m only sixteen. Sixteen! And Yasuo is four. He can’t even begin to comprehend what’s going on!” I complained, massaging my temples.
“I’m really sorry, Nami,” Alek said apologetically. I then realized that I forgot my sweater at home. And my school uniform offered no warmth against the late-September chill. I shivered, gripping my hands to my arms.
“Here,” Alek said, taking off his sweatshirt and thrusting it at me. I shoved it back.
“I’m fine, Alek. Put it back on,” I objected, shaking my head.
“Nami, I’ll be fine. Don’t be difficult. Put the sweatshirt on,” Alek demanded and insisted, shoving his sweatshirt back at me. I snatched it out of his hands.
“Fine. I’ll put it on. Don’t be so pushy,” I hissed, pulling it over my head. It was at least two or three sizes too big on me. Now, mind you, I’m not one of those ‘I’ve-got-to-be-anorexic-to-be-pretty’ girls, but I definitely was not the same size as Alek. Sure, I’m five-foot seven, but that doesn’t mean I’m built like a guy nine inches taller than I. The article of clothing was even too big on Alek. The sleeves hung over three inches from the tips of my fingers, and it came to almost my knees. Alek grinned at me.
“It’s swallowing my entire body,” I bluntly stated. But it was warm. And very comfortable. Suddenly, Alek grabbed my wrist, and he began running. I ran after him.
“What are you doing?” I yelled, trying to keep up.
“Nami, don’t talk. Just run,” Alek said. I frowned, but clamped my mouth shut. Alek and I ran for another two or three blocks. Uphill, I should say. And I was tired. Alek didn’t seem to be. Then again, he ran cross-country. Maybe I should start. Or at least work on my cardio. Definitely. Work on cardio; that would be ideal. We ducked into an alley and finally stopped running.
“Alek…what was that for?!” I yelled again, trying to catch my breath.
“Nami, there were two men following us. Didn’t you notice them?” he asked. I shook my head, my eyes wide.
“Do you…do you think they’re gone?” I looked over my shoulder to have my question answered. Alek stepped in front of me.
“What do you two want?” he hissed. I peeked over his shoulder to get a look at the men. One was Alek’s height, except he was really, really thin. The other was shorter and bulkier.
“C’mon now! All we want is the girl. And then we’ll be on our merry way,” the taller one spoke. Me? They want me?
“You can’t have her,” Alek hissed again. The men laughed. More like they cackled. It was rather creepy.
“Just hand her over, little boy, and we won’t hurt you. The princess’ body could make us good money,” the man said again. A scowl found its way onto Alek’s face. He pushed me farther behind him. This apparently upset the men, and they charged at Alek. Before they, much less I, could blink, Alek had them both on the ground. Maybe I just wasn’t paying attention, I thought. But Alek did move quickly and expertly. That I was sure of.
“Do you still want her?” he asked, kicking one of the men in his side. He rolled over and groaned. The other, skinnier one, rose to his feet. He glared at Alek before pulling up his friend.
“This isn’t the last you’ll see of us,” he said, and they seemingly disappeared.
“Alek…what was that? What is going on?” I quietly whimpered. I was scared. And ‘fear’ was one thing I usually didn’t feel.
“Nami, we should get you home,” Alek said. I nodded, and he gripped my wrist in his hand tightly. Alek swiftly began to walk, pulling me along behind him. I stumbled trying to keep up.
“Alek, slow down. Please, you’re walking too fast,” I pleaded. He sighed, and slowed his pace.

The entire way back to the apartment complex, Alek and I didn’t speak one word to each other. Although I had a million questions racing through my mind at seemingly the speed of light, I didn’t say anything.
“Nami, I know you’ve got questions and want answers. But I can’t tell you right now,” Alek said as we climbed the stairs to my apartment.
“When, Alek? When can you tell me?” I asked. Alek grinned.
“Soon, Nami. Soon.” We stood in front of my door. I frowned. Waiting was not a priority on my list. I wanted to know right then. And besides, what if he ‘forgot’?
“I promise. Okay?” Alek added, as if he read my mind. I rolled my eyes, opening the door.
“Sure. Bye, Alek,” I said, stepping inside.
“Goodbye, Princess.” Alek grinned and winked at me, leaving as I shut the door.

So as my faithful reader (roses to Marie!) said in the previous chapter, Nami and Yasuo being royalty was UNEXPECTED! -cues thunder and lighting- If you think that, just wait until the NEXT chapter! Heheheh...-cues dramatic music- DUN DUN DUUUUN!
Oh, and I like Marie-chan best. She comments on every chapter. That makes me happy. I'd love the rest of you, too, if only you'd comment. Do it! Please!
