Necchan has a Blurb~
I don't actually know. Stuff. I'm pretty random, and sometimes moody, so you never know what you're gonna get. Lots of my writing, that's for sure.
Love and Other Disasters [Chapter Six]
Since yesterday’s news, I suddenly became popular at school. Apparently, being a princess gives you status here. Was I even really a princess? I was only the reincarnation of one. So I wasn’t royalty…right? Either way, everyone wanted to be my friend. Girls who wouldn’t even associate themselves with me started talking to me.
“Hey, Nami!” Hallie chirped, sitting next to me. I glared at her.
“What do you want?” I hissed. Hallie put some expression on her face, feigning hurt.
“I was only being friendly!” she protested. I snorted.
“Right. When yesterday, you were ready to bite my head off for even thinking about the ‘oh-so-mighty’ Alek Peterson. Do I look like an idiot, Stone?” I smirked at Hallie as she huffily stood up. She then did this ‘hmph’ thing in a really preppy way and stomped to her seat.
“Good one, Nami,” Alek said from behind me, patting my shoulder. Before I could say anything back to him, Mr. Forrester came in the classroom and began his lesson. At least I had next period to talk. I looked forward to it. Rayne had assigned us yet another project, but me and Alek’s was coming along nicely. The lecture at hand was boring me, and I laid my head down on the desk.

Someone was shaking me. I looked up to see Alek’s face.
“Nami, you fell asleep. Class is over,” he said. I yawned.
“I can see that. Oops,” I sheepishly replied, gathering my things. Alek and I rushed to art before the bell rang and we had to suffer one of Rayne’s icy glares.

“So, Alek…when can you tell me what’s going on?” I asked.
“What are you doing tonight?” he asked back. I glared at him. It really annoys me when people answer my questions with a question of their own. Alek grinned at me, which made me more upset.
“How does tonight sound?” he finally answered. I sighed, and nodded, going back to work on our project.

Caddie drove me home after school. She only does that when she wants to talk to me about something important. And by the way she was driving, it must’ve been drastic. I never felt safe in a car with Caddie driving. And right then, I felt less safe than usual.
“Okay, Caddie. What is it?” I asked after she pulled me into her room and clo—slammed the door.
“Nami, Derick and I are going out to this country club with his grandparents, and I have nothing to wear!” she cried, flinging open her closet.
“Is that it? And you want me to help you?” I asked. Caddie nodded, her eyebrows creased with worry. I sighed.
“Caddie, I thought you were going to tell me something big, like you were pregnant. And you and I both very well know that I’m terrible with picking out attire for formal occasions.” Caddie’s shoulder’s slumped. She knew it was true. So instead, she settled on me watching as she tried on her different dresses. It took at least forty-five minutes, I swear. Finally, Caddie chose her dark blue halter dress.
“Can I go now?” I whined. Caddie shook her head and plopped on the bed next to me.
“What are you doing tonight? Reading another book?” she asked. I shot her a look before answering.
“Actually, I’m doing something with Alek,” I replied. A smile crept onto Caddie’s face. I rolled my eyes, seeing where this was going.
“Alek Peterson? He’s kinda cute! Don’t tell Derick I said that. But I thought you hated guys, Nami! What’s going on with Alek?” she exclaimed, her eyes gleaming.
“Nothing’s going on with Alek, Caddie. He just giving me answers to…you know, me being a princess,” I said. Caddie puffed out her cheeks, unsatisfied. She leaned towards me, her elbows propped up on her knees, her face on her hands.
“Nami, there’s something going on. A month ago, you wouldn’t even be seen with a guy, much less go somewhere with one. You wouldn’t even go with me anywhere if Derick was coming, too,” she said. “Do you like Alek?” Caddie whispered. I shook my head. I don’t think I like Alek…
“No, no. It’s nothing like that. I hang out with Alek because he, unlike any other guy, is giving me a chance to be a person, instead of just a beautiful girl. And he’s persistent. I couldn’t get rid of him if I tried,” I explained. Caddie nodded, understanding.
“You like that, don’t you?” It was then my turn to nod. Caddie suddenly gasped, making me jump.
“You have to go now! I need to get ready!” she exclaimed, making a ‘shoo’ motion with her hands. I cocked an eyebrow at her, but stood and left her room. Adam came home about fifteen minutes later. I had changed out of my school uniform, and was watching TV on the couch. Something I don’t usually do.
“Hi Nami. Bye Nami,” Adam said, running to his room. I looked after him. Uhm…okay? I thought. I looked up at the clock on the wall. Four o’clock. Alek said he was coming to get me at six. I was bored. I even would’ve gladly done homework to put me out of my misery. Unfortunately, I had none this weekend. I thought about taking a walk, but with what happened yesterday, I wasn’t taking any chances. I sighed, burying my face in my arms. When I noticed. Alek’s sweatshirt was lying right next to me. I should probably return it to him. Right? Ha! Sweet escape!
“Caddie, I’m gone!” I called, jumping up and running to the door. I heard an ‘uh-huh’ sound come from somewhere in the apartment, which was my cue to leave. I bounded down the stairs to the Peterson’s apartment. I knocked on the door once, twice, three times. Tess answered.
“Hi, Nami!” she exclaimed, hugging me. I patted her head, and she pulled away.
“Are you here to see Alek?” Tess asked, and I nodded. She pulled me inside by my wrists and ran off to get her brother, all the while screaming, “Nami’s here! Alek, Nami’s here!” Alek appeared from the opposite direction that Tess ran off in. He grinned at me.
“What’re you doing here?” he asked. I held out his sweatshirt to him.
“Bringing this back,” I said. Alek shook his head.
“Keep it. Besides, I think you’ve taken a liking to it.” I glared at him. Alek laughed lightly. “I take it you have nothing to do.”
“I’m bored,” I agreed, nodding. “And I’m not usually bored.” Alek laughed again.
“Alrighty then. Let me go finish what I was doing, and we’ll leave,” he said. He began to walk away, and I followed after him.
“You stay put,” he instructed, gesturing back toward the sitting room. I narrowed my eyes at him, but did as I was told. I sat on the couch and folded my arms across my chest as Tess came running back. She sat on the couch and did the same thing I was. As I was about to say something to her about it, Alek came in and said, “Let’s go, Nami,” before I could. Tess waved to me as I followed Alek out of the door, and out of the apartment complex.
“So, Alek. What’s going on?” I asked.
“You tell me,” he answered. I glared ice daggers at him.
“I’m going back home,” I hissed, turning back on my heels to the apartment complex. Alek laughed, and chased after me. He was by my side in two seconds. Literally. It scared the Bob out of me.
“Just where do you think you’re going, Princess?” he asked. A number of people who heard him craned their necks to get a look at me. I shrugged.
“Home.” A frown tugged at Alek’s pierced lip. He eventually grinned.
“Alright, Nami. But if you go back home, I can’t show you something really, really awesome. Nor can I give you answers to the questions swirling around in your pretty little head,” Alek taunted. I glared up at him. I stayed, not because of whatever he wanted to show me, but because Alek could probably be the only one to answer my questions.
“Alright, fine,” I sighed. Alek grinned again, triumphantly. He grabbed my wrist and dragged me away to an empty park.

“Are you ready for the magic, Nami?” Alek asked, twirling me around grandly. I nodded.
“I’m ready.”

Ooh...what's Alek gonna do to Nami? Cliff-hanger no Jutsu!

(I like Alek. If Nami doesn't claim him, can I?)
