It was just a normal day. It was the middle of summer and Julie was spending the night at her grandparents. The sun was about to set and Julie was sitting in the Gazebo swing by the creek. She slowly swung soaking up the sun, or what was left of it. She was the kind of girl who enjoyed being outside. She loved the environment, her grandparents’ especially. She sat there and just looked around.

A huge garden with okra, bell peppers, tomatoes, blackberries, and peas. A huge house, only one story but every well kept. Tons of flowers she and her brother and sister planted under a shade tree. A tree swing for her little sister. A shed with two antique cars, her grandfather restored. She saw her grandmother’s best friend and neighbor, Mrs. Helen out in her garden picking the garden she and her husband, Mr. Williams, planted. She saw Mrs. Helens grandson and granddaughter outside, Kurt, 16 yrs- old and Taylor, 14 yrs old. Her little black pug, Bean, and Mrs. Helen’s cat, Kylor, (after Kurt and Taylor) or as Julie and her brother call him, Milton.

However all of a sudden she saw something at the corner of her grandparents’ house. She decide that she would only get close enough to see what it was. However she didn’t bother telling her grandparents where she would be. So she grabbed her purse and her little pug and followed the creature into the pine groove, in which trespasser would be shot in. Julie paid no mind to the sign and hopped the fence with her pup in her hands. Once she was on the other side she felt cold. You know like when a ghost is in present.

She slowly crept behind the creature but she wasn’t close enough to see what it was. She followed it for what seemed like hours. Each step she took she got colder and colder. Until it got dark. So she decide to turn around and just forget it. So as she start to walk in the direction she came she heard something. She turned to see what it was and saw nothing. So she kept on going. Then she heard it again. She turned around and saw a shadow run into the bush. She started walking fast. And she heard the ‘thing’ picking up pace too. So she broke into a fast run with Bean running behind her.

She ran and ran for what seemed like forever without stopping. She ran down the thin path but felt very confused and lost. Julie ran until she didn’t hear the ‘thing’ behind her. She slowed down to find that she should have been at the fence by then but she wasn’t. She sat at the base of a very wide tree. She looked thought her purse and found her cell phone. But she was out of reception so she put it back and grabbed her pug. She sat there for two or three hours just staring into space and petting her sleeping pug. Until finally she fell asleep too.
