Ring Ideas...
Area: Rings and Ring set
Summary: Shadow Dragon
Explanation: Stamina regain after kills as the Shadow Dragon feeds on life.

Pictures and Example: N/A

1st ring: Maim
Summary: Two quick claw attacks
Explanation: Two quick claw attacks that do medium damage, more rage used equals more claw attacks. No knockback. Quick recharge like Mantis or Slash.

2nd ring: Shadow Breath
Summary: A damaging defense debuff
Explanation: AoE attack that centers on the first creature doing damage to it and the ones next to it.The defense is also lowered for a short period of time. More rage pumped in equals more damage and stronger debuff. Recharge like Fire Rain.

3rd ring: Tail Whip
Summary: A vengeful lash of the tail
Explanation: Small melee AoE attack doing heavy damage, more rage gets more damage and more AoE, culminating in a full 360 degree spin. Knockback like Slash. Recharge than Hack.

4th Ring: Aura of Devouring
Summary: Life feeding aura for your crew.
Explanation: A crew buff with recharge time and stamina cost like Divinity. As long as it is active, crew members heal a percentage of damage dealt to enemies. Greater rage boosts equals higher healing percentage. Works like the opposite of Divinity, as you steal energy instead of get a boost from the ambient energy.

Summary: Necromancer Set
Explanation: Reduce enemy resistance to CC.

1st Ring: Curse
Summary: Ranged overall Weak Debuff
Explanation: Like an anti-Fitness that you can cast on enemies, more rage gives a stronger and longer lasting effect. Medium recharge like Diagnosis.

2nd Ring: Vile Dagger
Summary: A poisoned dagger effect
Explanation: Pretty simple, a melee version of hot foot. Mantis recharge and hot foot damage. A bit uninventive of me but I think it fits the theme overall.

3rd Ring: Ghoul
Summary: Summon a ghoul to pounce on your enemy
Explanation: Pretty simple, summon a mean and nasty ghoul to jump on your enemy, biting and tearing. Medium damage at first and then trailing down in numbers. Higher Rage summons more ghouls to stack more damage on. Last rage bar summons a horde to do high initial damage with trail off. Recharge like Shark Attack with a slightly higher stamina cost.

4th Ring: Soul Chill
Summary: Slows enemy with minor damage
Explanation: Long range with small damage but has chance of Root. Again with damage over time but less then hot foot, the root effect is the important part and the range is like Hunter's Bow.

Overall the idea is to curse the enemy, chill him, summon minions on him, then stab to death if they survive long enough to get close. Ah, the joys of necromancy. biggrin


I do have an idea for a Mutant set that Val inspired me to do though his mutant set was way different.

Tendril would be a ring that summons a lashing tentacle that attacks on its own in melee. More rage gives it more tentacles to attack for you.

Regeneration would be a panic button that is set to heal you a certain amount over time, more rage gives you more healing per tick. Basically it is something you can use on yourself in the middle of a fight that will help keep you fighting.

Bile would be a ranged attack that does damage over time and weakens enemy defense.

Sting could be a short range attack that does damage over time with a chance to paralyze.

Mutant set bonus should be a natural thorns effect.


Lag Bubble
Panic Button activation (like Turtle or Fire Rain, you just hit it and it affects the area around you)

Chance of stunning enemies around you with rage increasing range and chance of effect. Great for countering mobs.
