My Journey Of Time
my adventure as it unfolds
The Un-Welcome Wagon
"Are you ready Delila?" I looked to my friend. She looked nervous. She had never been to my world before, and I hadn't been there in years. Neither of us knew what to expect. Delila looked back at me. "Ok. I'm ready. Let's do this." I jumped into the well first, Delila right behind me. and we fell down into the darkness of the well. Just like the first time I came through the well, there was a moment where we were floating in an abyss of nothingness. I looked back to see if Delila was ok. She was floating right behind me. Then, like before, the abyss of nothingness faded away, and we softly landed at the bottom of the well. "I'll go up first. This world is a lot more hostile than yours. There are demons and other beings not like me who will attack others without a cause." I warned her. "Like that man who attacked you?" she asked me. I nodded. Then I used my power to leap out of the well onto the ground above. Seeing no danger around I jumped back down to get Delila. We exited the top of the well and we stood there looking around. "Wow!" Delila exclaimed. "This place is beautiful." She was right. The land looked the same as it did when I left this world. It was nice not being in a crowded, noisy city. Just to be back where nature ruled the land and the wind in the trees was all you heard. "I think I remember there being a village over there. Come on."

We walked down a dirt road amongst the trees towards the village I had passed through the last time I was here. After exiting the forest, we looked down into the valley where we saw the village. Children were laughing and playing and chasing each other around. There were men were working in a rice field. A group of women were down by a stream washing linens. We walked down towards them.

We where passing by the men in the rice field. One man looked up at me. I smiled at him. But apparently I offended him or something because he shouted "DEMON!!!!" and before we knew it, Delila and I were surrounded by angry people with pitchforks and knives and other sharp weapons. "Jeez, was it something I did?" I whispered to Delila. She stared at me like I had mental issues. Yes I know, now isn't really the perfect time to crack jokes.

To my left, the villagers began to disperse and through them towards us came and elderly woman with an eye patch. She pointed a bow and arrow straight at us. " Who are ye demon, and what ye be doing here?" she demanded. "Kimiko, what about it?" I retorted. "Well Kimiko, leave our village demon or we will be forced to kill you and your companion. We don't want ye kind or ye associates around around our village." That crossed the line. I don't like being referred to as "Demon" or "My Kind". I have a name! at least the old hag bothered to use it, but she still insulted me, and NO ONE insults me without consequences. But consequences would have to wait. I could easily tear through these human, but I knew Delila would be horrified at me killing her kind. "Well I got news for you ya old hag! I ain't going anywhere!" I responded. " Then death it is." she said, and in an instant the villagers all came at us once. "Get on my back!" I commanded Delila. Not wasting time with questions, she climbed onto my back and I leaped over the villagers to the ground on the other side and began to run, the villagers hot on our trail.

"What do you think you're doing?!" Delila shouted. "Let's just go back home! At least there there won't be people trying to kill us!" "I just got here! I'm not leaving so soon! I need to find my brothers!" I shouted back to her. "We're never gonna loose them like this." I thought to myself. So I used my power to leap up into a tree and began leaping from limb to limb through the forest in escape. Apparently Delila was terrified of being chased by angry villagers trying to kill here while leaping through tall trees at an enormous speed because she was digging her fingernails into my shoulders and screaming "OH MY GOD, I'M GONNA DIE!!! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD, I'M GONNA DIE!!!" I didn't mind the fingernail part because my body including my skin is very tough, but the screaming was quite annoying. "Wimp." I thought. "She better not be like this the entire trip."

Soon, the villagers shouts began to fade, and then disappear completely. I slowed myself and leaped to the ground and let Delila off. "WHAT THE HECK WERE YOU THINKING?!" she shouted at me. "I was thinking that all of your screaming made one of my ears go deaf." I redundantly exclaimed. She stared daggers at me. "Look Delila, let's just sit down and collect ourselves. Ok? She was still irritated at me, but she complied, and we sat down on a fallen down tree nearby.

"Why did those people attack us?" Delila asked. "Like I said before, people here are more hostile. But humans panic. They wouldn't attack us without a reason. Maybe they were attacked by a demon recently. There are demons in this world that kill the innocent for mere pleasure." Delila sat there quietly, reminiscing about what I had told her. "I don't know about you Delila, but I'm going back to the village." She shot up and shouted. "WHAT?! ARE YOU CRAZY! They didn't exactly roll out the welcome wagon you know." She stood there glaring at me. "Look, the man who attacked me knew who I was. So maybe he knows something about my brothers. It DID happen near that village, so maybe he lives there or somewhere nearby. I'm gonna go back and see if anyone knows about him." I could tell that she didn't like the idea, but she nodded and said "Ok, but I'm coming too." So we set back down the road towards the village, in hope, and fear of what would happen.
