Here I am alone, on my palace throne
Waiting for a prince to rescue me.
Silently I weep deep within my keep
Waiting through another eternity

Though the cage that holds me
Sways on the breeze
Fragile and delicate, the nature hiding it
Fearsome and terrible as a wounded beast.

I wander these halls with naught but a hope
Between stony walls, cold and uncaring
Master am I, yet prisoner I be
And my palace? My own broken heart.

For many a moon, the shadows have risen
Alone in the gloom, my hands have been busy
And dolls I create, their smiles and their grace
Each a fragment of my own desires

Oh come, hand in hand we walk now together
Down candlelit paths, beneath arches high
To the one room of life, of saving, of grace
Beneath a starry sky...
