Actually, I'm not. But I know that I'm better than the vast majority of drivers that the government allows to drive! Honestly, I think any of you (except Sean) who read this can't take me if we were both put in the same spec car and had to go around a track that required any sort of skill.
I went go-kart racing last night, and got a 3rd place finish. I usually place 1st on casual races, since it's usually just amateurs and kids. But this time I went up against some pros (there were a couple of amateurs on the field though)... and did better than I thought.
I started out in 4th, but by the end of the first lap, I made it to 2nd... then once I got passed by the guy who placed 1st... I wasn't going to catch either of the two (2nd place guy started in 1st since he had the best qualifying time). The 1st place guy was way good (he's also 40 lbs. lighter than I am), and even lapped me on the last lap.
I'm still low on the place's historical rankings because my first time there, I got docked 200 or so points because I didn't know what the ******** I was doing and would bump and rub on people when I tried to pass. I also don't go very often (note that this was only my 3rd visit), so I haven't been able to gain more points to improve my ranking. But for this race, I got the most points added to my total because I technically drove the best according to the officials and sensors. But there was no way I could keep with the top two guys, they were way too fast and experienced.
Note: "Ryan Bernardo" is the name on my Driver's License... I have to find out how the other people were able to change their names in the system so I can change mine to Millefune or Kuya (the name I answer to).
