I’m...not like the other members of my group. We’re all supposed to be a little odd in our own special way but with me, I am the most indifferent. As we pass by towns and villages, I can here people gawk about my appearance but I cannot stand it. Even seeing myself in reflection actually makes me somewhat ill. But still, I travel alongside my master, because he wants me to.

A late night within the middle of moonlight covered forest, and within are a group of children. A man is huddled close to a young boy, a snow white and golden-tipped wing covering the two. Nearby a red head is snuggled close to a teenage brunette elf. Four people were now awake, a pink haired Seer, a demon, a prince, and a robot. “Eden, you really ought to get to sleep…” Cicerio scolded. “I’m fine Cice, plus I kinda don’t get to sleep so easy…you should just go ahead~” she sang. The robot tilted his head and mimicked what he’d just seen. “Master should sleep…” “Yea, I was just wondering about where that horse was going to end up taking us…see ya later.” He waved. Duo, the young robot had watched his master Seif fall asleep, as well as Cicerio. He turned, knowing he’d see Eden but instead, nothing. “Duo doesn’t want her to get hurt but…Duo wants to follow!” With that, the Radiant walked in a direction he thought Eden would end up going but of course, instead he ended up getting himself lost.

Duo ended up wandering so deep into the forest that the surrounding area didn’t even look like where the campsite was. The trees were much taller and it appeared as though they were blue from how the moon was reflecting, sparkles of light even twinkled as they floated about but of course Duo was unsure of what they were. Just as he was about to touch one, a voice sounded from the shadows. “No! Don’t touch that!” Duo pulled back, looking around to see that no one was there. “Hello?” he asked. “Stupid human, you should no better!” said the voice. Duo turned in the direction of the female voice but instead only saw a willow, “Tree?” he asked cutely. The ‘tree’ suddenly morphed into the form of a rough looking girl. “I’m not a tree stupid; I’m a tree nymph thank you. And what in the hell are you doing so deep in the forest? It’s not safe for your kind…” she barked. “Duo is here because one of Duo’s friends disappeared.” “Disappeared eh? It’s still really dangerous, this place feeds off of your fears, don’t you know?” asked the nymph. Duo shook his head, “Duo is not from here.” “You’re not?! Well, where did you come from th-wait…your skin…” She was holding his left hand when she noticed that his body had been completely absent of any warmth whatsoever; definitely not something a human would have. “Duo isn’t human…Duo is a...robot.” he corrected, not exactly sure how to describe himself to the magical creature. The girl marveled at him with curiosity before spotting his odd shaped ears, “May I touch them?” she asked. Duo nodded, of course being unable to say no, while she poked around. “What are these vines coming out?” “Wires, they allow Duo to synch-er…connect with certain objects to learn about them, or service my Master in some way.” “Ah! You’re a slave species?! Are you sure you aren’t a vampire then?” Duo blinked and tilted his head, “Duo doesn’t know what a vampire is…and that’s what Master classified Duo as, so then Duo must be a robot.” After the nymph played with his wires she smiled, “I’m Willa!~ You showed me what you have so…I wish to show you what I have.” Duo bowed, “Alright…maybe Duo will find Miss Eden as well.” The two walked further into the mysterious forest before out of nowhere a series of vines began wrapping around him. Willa gasped, “You didn’t say what fears you ha-” Too late, before Duo could hear anymore, he ended up in a completely black space. “Miss Willa? Miss Willa?” he asked. The vines were gone so instead he decided to walk around in the space of nothing, hoping to find someone. Finally he came upon a familiar figure. “Master! What are you doing here? Duo thought Master was sleeping.” He asked. “Duo, I thought for a moment I was alone…” said Seif. The lavender haired boy let his head hang low, “Duo shouldn’t have left…Duo is sorry, Duo was just looking for Miss Eden. Duo knows how much Master cares about her…” “You’re right…I do care about her…and that’s why I want you to shut down.” The young boy blinked, unsure of what his Master had just asked. “Duo’s sound registration must not be working correctly. What did Master sa-” “You heard me. I want you to shut down permanently.” His hands shook a bit while he shook his head in disbelief. “But Duo just woke up…wasn’t Duo being useful to Master? Duo doesn’t understand…” Seif caressed Duo’s cold face, “Look at yourself Duo…you aren’t even alive. You’re just metal parts brought to life by magic…you can’t even speak or work correctly, if anything, you’re holding the group back. Duo felt his heart thumping louder and louder with each painful word that was uttered. “Master, I’ll work harder I promise! Duo just needs a little more time! Please, Duo doesn’t want to go back into nothingness! Please!” he begged. Tears were actually coming from Duo’s lavender eyes, each one sparkling once they dropped to the ground. “That’s my final decision Duo, now shut down.” Upon hearing the order, Duo’s systems shut down, even though tears were still falling from his eyes. The next thing he knew, he was facing another boy, looking quite similar to him but his hair was a bit scruffier looking, along with the fact that it was blonde. Duo reached out his hand, while the other boy reached out his hand as well. “Where…is Duo?” he asked. “In the synched zone…you shut yourself down. It was hard…rescuing you.” The blonde hugged his counterpart, “Why did you try doing that? When you’d just woken up too…” “M-Master, he wanted me too…” Duo answered. “No…Duo was deleting all of his data as well, that couldn’t have been your Master’s doing…” “B-B-But Master told me…Master didn’t want Duo because Duo is…not alive…” he cried. “Then maybe he wasn’t meant to be Duo’s Master…” “No! No, no, no…Seif is…Seif woke me up! He taught me everything! He has to be my Master! He has to…” Tears fell more and more, and at a faster pace, but as Duo turned his head, for the first time, he’d seen something on his body that he didn’t recognize. Just below his shoulder, resting on his arm read in black “02”. “What is…that?” “What you really are. Just as I, am 01.” Duo confirmed this upon looking at the stranger’s right arm. “Who…are you?” Duo managed to ask. “Some who only wants the best for you…but as for my name, it can be Suo.” He replied. “Okay…” “So, try starting yourself up again.” “But…Master, he doesn’t want me, he’ll just send me back and-” Suddenly the lavender haired robot found himself tied to a tree, vines wrapped around his body. “You’re awake! Oh thank goodness…I thought you’d succumbed to the spell…” “S-Spell?” “Y-Yes, unfortunately the forest has a mind of it’s own and it likes to feed on the fear and insecurities of others…you must be incredibly powerful to be honest.” “Power…ful?” Duo asked. Willa ripped away the plants from his body and nodded, “Yes…almost all of the trees in this part of the forest…they all have the skeletons of the lost. Their fears literally drive them to death…and it’s really sad. I’ve never seen anyone who could escape them, but you were crying…” “I’m scared of my Master leaving me because of what I am…” “What you are?” “Because I am…dead…” The girl giggled, “Come with me.” She ordered, tugging him away. She’d dragged him off nearby a beautiful lake, reflecting the moon. “I want you to look in okay?” Duo gulped, he hated looking at anything that showed himself. “Just do it…” she pushed. Duo looked to see himself within the water, a boy with long lavender hair, matching light eyes and pale skin. The reflection changed to that of a sort of younger self, smiling, and happy as could be. “Who…is that?” “You silly, or rather, who you are. A sweet and innocent child with insecurities like that of any living being, see? You’re normal so…why would you doubt yourself to the point of death?” Duo was amazed upon seeing this…child, “Is this…how Duo is? What Duo looks like to everyone?” “More like how you view yourself and how the others view you. You’re a child who’s still growing and learning about the world, so what’s wrong with that?” Tears fell again, “Thank you…Miss Willa…I was so scared…” Willa hugged the innocent boy and calmed him down. “I’m sure as you grow and continue to travel you’ll learn more about yourself and who you are, just promise you won’t be afraid of yourself anymore okay?” “Alright! I promise!” “See? And you know how to say ‘I’ now; that proves you’re growing!” The child gasped, “I…am growing up…thank you so much Miss Willa! And goodbye!” he waved, running off back to where he’d come from. The nymph smirked, “I’ve never seen something that powerful…from something born only of magic to have tears, a heartbeat, an unconscious, and such powerful emotions…looks like all those ruin prophecies were right…” she whispered, watching the boy disappear into the night. “But then…the Seer I wonder…” A bit farther off in the direction Duo was going, atop the highest tree stood Eden, the sound of a heartbeat resonating through her ears. “Again…that stupid sound…” Again it was getting louder and louder until she was forced to crouch down, “What’s…happening to me?” she winced until finally the sound disappeared. “It’s…gone…” “Oiya! Miss Eden! Come down, I’ve been looking for you!” the boy called up. Unsure of what had transpired, she instead decided to push it away, at least for another night…or perhaps never.

That boy I saw from within my heart, he frightened me…and yet, apart of me wants to see him again once more. To me, he’d felt so familiar, and upon meeting him…I was able to grow. I want to see that boy named Suo once more, but shall I tell him to my Master; he will worry. Instead I watch as we follow Helio to a strange place he’s not telling, but…Miss Eden still frightens me…She has not yet told me why she disappeared…but then there must be some sort of reason, though apart of me can see…see the look on Cicerio’s face. He knows more than he lets on and…I think he knows more about us than each of us know about ourselves…

Extremely short I know but it was meant to be, it is after all a filler, or well a chap mostly for Duo cause I love him~ And le gasp...ANOTHER CHARACTER?! I have his sketch in the front of my spanish book...along with their numbers on the back on my notebook....hehe...01/02 is like everywhere...I wonder if ppl think it's a date?? Well I'm off to bed now...or to be sleepless...I'm not sure which yet since I have to wake up for le bus...
