Darkness.
And pain.
What happened? He tried to sit up and realized he couldn't. He rose nearly half an inch before he fell back to the bed. He was wearing an odd large white tshirt and some boxers but nothing else. His left arm was bruised but still had an I.V. attached to it. Quickly turning his head from his needle ridden arm he glanced at the white room. This must be a hospital. Why..Why am I here? His breathing started getting faster as a near panic attack took over.
Wait...what's my name?! Why can't I remember my name?! I can't remember anything about myself!!
The heart moniter started beeping frantically and an older woman nearly ran in. Seeing him awake she smiled. "It's alright young man. What seems to be the problem?" Walking closer to the bed she touched his arm carefully. What is my name?! He was surprised thinking he had said it out loud. Sadly what only came out was a slightly rasping sound. He frowned, his eyebrows furrowing as he attempted to get something out. "N-name?" Smiling sweetly at him she went over to glace at his chart. "Ah so you can't remember it? Well here you go, it's Keiro Windig." As she placed the chart back in place he felt as if he almost remembered. My name is Keiro? That sounds familar but...I still can't seem to remember anything else.
Coughing he touches at his throat. It was sore, as if he had been yelling, but also dry. The nurse smiling held out a glass of water and he took it gingerly surprised he could hold it firmly. Taking a sip of the refreshing water he smiled. Atleast his voice wouldn't be that raspy anymore. The nurse took the empty cup back and smiled at him. "You survived a pretty nasty shock! You have a few broken ribs but luckily no internal bleeding. Other then a few bruises and your obvious loss of memory you're fine. Let me go call some of your family..." Leaving the room she frowned.
She had been present when he doctor was talking with his father, the only one who had showed. He apparently didn't care all that much for his son and only agreed to pay the bills nothing more. Though a boy had signed on as his next of kin, he looked nothing like him. I guess a friend trying to help out, oh well if that's the best I can do. Smiling she called the number quickly leaving a message on his voice mail.
Kerio...It still doesn't sound that right. I can't believe I don't remember anything of who I am. He sighed running a hand through his hair. Maybe once I see some of my family things will click. Closing his eyes for only a moment darkness overtook him as sleep once again took hold.
