We're canceling Christmas this year, sorta.

There's no presents.
The kids won't be here.
There's no point.

I've gone to three of the kid's Christmas pagents/performances, two tree lighting ceremonies, I've taken them out and about to look at Christmas lights, I've gotten covered in spiderwebs and dead beetles twice to get out and set p the Christmas decorations for my mom. I've done this stuff, not because I'm possessed by the Christmas spirit, but because I love the kids and I want to see them happy and doing stuff. The decorations were all for mom.

And Christmas is pretty much canceled.
There's no money for gifts or a big dinner this year.
Why?
'Cuz I lost my job.

I don't pay for bills anymore. So, there's that much less money around here.

-sigh-

So the hours of digging through beetle carcasses and spiderwebs in the garage to put up the tree was pointless.
Ugg.
I'm ready for some good news.

I don't want to stay home on New Years.

I don't want to be home for Christmas.
