Random Paradox
I took a test on randomness and started a philosophical thought. I thought I would share that here.

The paradox of randomness is the same as that of the "misfit" social group in our youth. Those who do not conform to most mainstream trends look upon themselves as random, outcasts, and freaks. They are conforming to their own group where they actually fit in and act similarly to each other. It should then be determined that those who act "random" to be "different" are conforming to their social group which is either ignorant hypocrisy or indifferent foolishness. Furthermore those who most deeply believe they are different will often resort to saying spontaneous remarks like how 1+1=purple or other statements which show stupidity rather than a spontaneous mind. Quotes from Gir from Invader Zim are sometimes thought of, but likewise do not show signs of intelligence. There is also the apparent hatred of the "mainstream" music. To me this simply says they want to hate something that is popular to prove they are different. Hating something on the grounds of its popularity has no logical reasoning. The meaning of bands are often used as justification like some of these "underground" bands are supposed to be deeper and more meaningful. The performing arts are only partly about meaning though. They are mainly meant for entertainment of the audience. Besides, many people who claim to hate the mainstream music often listen to mainstream music and claim they are listening to underground bands. ICP for example is a commonly used band claimed to be "underground".

Being a misfit is it's own social group which once again contradicts itself since those who don't fit in with the seeming popular crowd fit in with each other. Many of these supposed misfits are actually quite popular themselves. The true misfits are those who can't fit into any social groups including the group for the supposed misfits. The ones who can be in plain sight, yet go completely unnoticed by their peers. It's foolish that so many of our youth strive to be associated with being loners, especially as they move in groups.
