Music: The World Should Revolve Around Me
Notes: This is vaguely linked with Kill the Hero as DiZ does go to Minnie for help at the beginning of the roleplay, seeing as s**t just got real, but other than his brief mention, this can all be read on its own. (8 I really just wanted to write something hinting at the badass past I came up with for Daisy.

Light Steps

Minnie has her faith.

It burns within her like the beacon of a lighthouse; not only does it sustain her, but it draws other lost souls to her, like DiZ. Being such a beacon has its downsides, for what can a lighthouse of a Queen awaiting her king do but wait? So secret she thinks herself, sneaking out a night to wage inner wars with herself outside of the gummi hangar. Daisy knows better, because are they not friends? Every night, when the Queen goes to wait outside the Gummi hangars, her Duchess waits and watches at a nearby window. Best friends don't let best friends go off on wild adventures by themselves; best friends go together.

In contrast, Daisy appears to have little. Just the clink of steel, rough leather, and a pin in her feather. All memories of a life before. All carrying advice and lessons learned.

Wrapping her pirate's coat around her shoulders brings faces to her mind's eyes. The tough purple brocade and intricate gold designs remind her she is strong, a pirate, a Dancer who has roamed all of her world and a few others. The feel of cool metal on her wrist and the ring of little chains against one another sings of friendships forged. The worlds may keep them apart, but no matter what, their hearts are linked.

Her boots are the best.

They fit perfectly, and as she dances with fire and twists with electricity, deja vu takes a hold of her. This feels right: the danger, the adrenaline, the steps she'd thought forgotten and the feel of a blade in her hand as magic fills the air. The dance is finished with a flourish of her stolen sword, glowing from flames and lightning, and the Berserkers vanish away with darkness and smoke in the face of such light. Chest heaving, she shares a smile with her one and only sweetheart.

Daisy has her dances.
