Angel of darkness:

“What!” She yelped. I shrugged,” this is the only way for us to have a chance” With a glare she slammed an item that she had in her hand at my feet. “I Will Not sacrifice him in order to meet your twisted goal!” her eyes where still fixed on me as I slowly bent down to pick up the book she had thrown. I looked the book over cover to cover not wanting to focus on the title. Finally my eyes came to rest on the title The Angel of Darkness the bright red letters burned my soul to see. “What’s this? A rebellion? Have you forgotten that you yourself have promised yourself to my ‘twisted goal’ as you love to call it?” Her nod was small and stiff causing her reddish hair to bob. For an instant I felt a sense of understanding as I started opening my mouth to ask her to help me rethink the strategy so that her beloved would make it out when I felt a sharp burning pain around my neck. Gasping I crumpled down to the floor, curse you, I thought bitterly as I saw her beautiful face instantly dissolve from rage and defiance to one of sock and worry. “Are you ok?” she began as she leaned in to check what I was making such a fuss of. As she got closer I felt the dark ring restrict into my throat harder closing my eyes while gasping for breath I began to cry. Puzzled, I fought to open my sleepy eyes to look at her. After what wasting a minute of time I had to stand without air, I managed to open my eyes; she was also crying and trying to think of what to do to help me I guess. Knotting her delicate hands into that long reddish hair she let out a cry of frustration,” What can I do to help you!? You’re the only one that can save him and without you I-I-I I need him BACK!” After that little outburst I felt my hand bang on the floor, her head snapped to meet my eyes, I could feel myself beginning to fade little by little. I don’t want to die. Echoing through my head where those words as I rummaged through the mess that had been created on the floor with both of my quick hands. My master, probably guessing my intention, forced the ring tighter yet and the familiar bindings as they all began to break through skin. Grasping the object I need to succeed in my new mission, which at the moment was to stay alive, I held up my right hand that held that book up to her. Her eyes looked surprised but she nodded that same strong small nod and laid her hand upon mine. Still gasping I pulled my other, now bleeding, hand onto the top of hers. The book opened with the two of us around it. Rushing through the verses in a quiet half-choked whisper I brought two of my blood red fingers to my mouth and applied it to my lips. She knew what was coming next, the seal that would bind me to her thus removing the current spell on me. Hesitantly she leaned in, half rolling my eyes; I leaned in the rest of the way kissing her square on the mouth right after I felt a sharp sting in my back. Then a stiffening chill went down my body as I felt myself collapse against my will then I felt her roll me over. I felt her helplessness, anger, sorrow, regret, and kindness as she inspected me I wanted to cry. For again I was bound to the emotions of something else, this time it was a human. I was as the name on the book applied, an angel of darkness only too endure and create pain, suffering, and sorrow. Looking back a couple of minutes I couldn’t help but wonder. Why didn’t I want to die? Fading into that lovely forgiving darkness I felt the familiar call of orders, but the pull was too strong as soon I slipped into a peaceful sleep.

Danjo:

I stood there on a tall pine, legs dangling off the sharp branches, giving a small laugh and a small leap I landed in front of my target. It was my master that I had to serve until released. I supposed she looked pretty with her reddish hair and blue eyes dressed in a ruffled shirt with pants that clung to her lower body. “Hey! I told you I’d find you!” She let out a frustrated sigh in response. I frowned and commented in a whinny voice, “Ow! C’mon that’s not very nice, and after I went to all the trouble of finding you!” Her head snapped as she heard the rest of her ‘friends’ coming. “Leave! They can’t see you!” Frowning I stamped my foot on the ground, “But why? I didn’t do anything I wasn’t supposed to!” Giving me a look that said otherwise she continued, “Well can you at least look more normal? I can’t really tell my friends that I summoned an angel to follow me around” I looked over her shoulder and gave my best smile, “k” I said in between a wink. I chose to change into a small girl about five years old with long blonde hair laid in a series of braids. I wore a dressy blouse that was a light red with some jeans that had pink flowers on the pockets. Running to her friends I began to cry. The thick crowd began to freeze and soon I was surrounded by a throng of people who where asking me what was the matter. In between my sobs I told a story, I made it up of course, but they ate it up and comforted me. Claiming that my master was my babysitter was just something I threw in. Her friends looked at my master in awe. I smiled a little happy smile and made my way over to the only male in the group. Me, being the best angel around, knew he was my masters crush but one of her ‘friends’ had stolen him out from under her. Reaching into my flowery pocket I pulled out a sliver charm bracelet. It was, of course, not a charm bracelet but it did look nice with its single angel winged charm made of sapphire and diamond. I smiled at his shocked face and giving a fun little wink I told him to wear it always. He’d be useful to my friend a few years later, when the war began.

Animal I have become:

The trap door opened with its familiar creak. Feeling the rattling as the chains around my neck, feet, and arms rubbed against the floor. Staring into my blood red eyes was a woman. Black hair blending into the background her composed stance frightened me. “You see,” she began, “Your dark angelic friend decided to betray me. Guess what happened to him? No matter I’ll show you.” She let out a small sigh as she began to Wave her hand to signal a dark bodyguard who in response gave a small nod in return. Straining to see and hear every last detail I watched the two guards begin to drag a limb body towards me. I prayed that my assumptions were wrong as this corpse was dragged closer and closer to me. The body was thrown at my feet and in that moment I saw the familiar face of the man I loved, Had loved I corrected myself bitterly, twisted in agony as it always would be until the soft flesh was all but gone from decay. I curled up into a little ball, hearing my black diamond chains respond to my movement. The woman smiled clearly reading my emotions she began, “He fought my control over him and I had let him live, but only because he still followed my orders. As you can see he clearly betrayed me. Something I’m sure you wouldn’t think of now.” Her smile was cruel as she walked out the cellar door, “and now it is your turn to work for me like he did.”

When she left, and the doors closed. I crawled over to the corpse of my love, and holding him in my arms, began to weep. Now I felt the loneness that I hadn’t dreamed I’d ever feel. For the only creature even close to understanding all I’ve gone through was dead and all because I refused to work for this woman. I spread my once white wings over my lover as I heard her highness scold me about all that I’ve done, and the animal that I’ve become.
