Chapter 1
Thank god for spoiled rich kids.

“Thank you very much for coming” I merrily chimed as my dance finished. The man that I was entertaining just smiled like he always did and nodded his bright blonde hair bobbing happily. I hesitated before continuing merrily, “hey why don’t I walk with you since I’ve done all my shows here?” His eyes didn’t hold any sign of distress as he again nodded with a big smile on his face. I giggled happily as I noticed how nervous he suddenly became, I loved it when he came my day always seemed better. After running off to change out of my dancers costume I carefully placed on a tang-top as I when to go address him. Summoning my courage as fast as I could possibly I knocked on his door. “Come in” he purred in that smooth voice. I swallowed hard and entered the room.

I ran out of the room back to my changing room I tried to think of happy thoughts as I removed my bloodied tang-top to begin bandaging up my wounds, and when I was finished I pulled on another tang-top and layered it with a black t-shirt, and then to top it all off I pulled on a long sleeved shirt that tied up the side. I smiled as I quickly rushed through my hair and makeup. When I was finished I stood up and turned around casting a worried look all over my body. I mentally calculated the time I had before all my wounds bled through and figured that I’d be fine. After I was done getting ready I greeted him warmly as I normally did, “Well, I’m ready so let us go!”

“Wow! Your school is so big!” I chanted walking on the decorative wall surrounding the flower beds. The weather was starting to pick up into a light rain. I turned to look at him as I copied a few steps of one of my dances that give thanks to the rain. After the first step I felt a little dizzy, but continued anyway so I wouldn’t make him worry or for that matter know what I was going through. I kept watching him under his umbrella as I continued my dance. Black came creeping up on my vision suddenly, I felt the pain of today’s fresh wounds come at me all at once as I fell from that wall and into the comforting black darkness of unconsciousness.

With a start Honey caught the girl that had fallen; wide eyed he picked her up and heaved her as gently as he could manage onto his back. His mind raced as he thought of all the options he had to take her to. Without really even making up his mind he began to run to the Host Club, he knew they’d fix this. As he raced through the gardens he began to cry wondering how his friends could possibly be there, and if they weren’t, what the fate of the girl he’d grown to enjoy so much would be.

Hikaru and Kaoru lounged on the couch as they waited for the club to open. Haruhi sat in the middle doing her homework for the day as Tamaki animatedly strolled about the room that they used as the club. Kyoya sat in the background totaling the current income for the club and how much they would need to plan another Christmas party better than the last one. All the while Mori paced the room as if sensing something was amiss. As soon as the rain started Mori quietly left the club in search of his companion. A few minutes after he left Kaoru began, “hey was I the only one to notice Honey-sempai was missing?” Hikaru picked absently at the sofa as he answered his identical twin’s question, “He hasn’t been at school all day. I think he said something about visiting a friend or something.” They both sighed as they continued to wait for anything to happen.

As if on que Mori burst through the door, his uniform stained with blood from the man he held. The man had on a ruined Oruan High School uniform that was equally stained in dripping blood. Silence passed through the room as everyone took in the scene. With a snap of authority Tamaki began issueing commands to his club. He ordered Kyoya to call a doctor, and told Hikaru and Kaoru to prepare a private area for him. Kyoya and the twins nodded as they went about completing their tasks. Tamaki turned to look at Haruhi as he decided to ask her to stay with Mori and the bleeding man in his arms just in case he awoke. Haruhi nodded setting down her homework as she approached Mori.

A few minutes later the doctor came to the curtained part of an adjoining room to examine the boy. The entire host club members where curious about what the new injured man, but they all managed to agree that Kyoya was the only one that should be with him while he was examined. When the doctor came out of the curtained room he gestured for Kyoya to come to him so that he may report. As a result to this the other host club members stared at Kyoya, and the twins asked, “Can’t we all hear what’s going on with him?” Tamaki didn’t seem to notice as Haruhi came out of another room that contained the ruined cloths of the man; she sat stained with his blood while shaking and hugging herself as if protecting herself from a beating. The doctor approached as the others (except Mori and Kyoya) tried to figure out what was wrong with Haruhi. He began to start his report after Kyoya gave him a small nod, “As you can tell from your friend, what was done to this person was gruesome at best.” The doctor shifted uneasily as all eyes turned to him. He began, his voice holding the reserve of a well practiced doctor, “I believe all that I’ve here done won’t help him. He needs surgery to close the deep wounds, but even then I don’t know if he as enough blood to sustain himself.” The club members stared in shock at the doctor not knowing what to do. The doctor added in a scolding tone, “I’d recommend you children contact this person’s parents while I’m taking your friend to the hospital.” Kyoya stood his ground on the comment as he returned with his own, “he is a cousin of mine and has stumbled into this club after being beaten and who knows what else by some thugs. I’m already preparing for my own private surgeon to see him.” The doctor nodded his head in understanding, not willing to argue with any kind of rich child, but the distain he felt was clearly marking his face as he left the music room.

Tamaki finally managing to snap out of his authority fit shamelessly started hugging Haruhi trying to get her to cheer up in his own unique way. The twins stared curiously at the curtained ‘room’ then back at Kyoya after a second of putting their thoughts together they managed to chorus, “So what are we going to do Kyoya-san? We can get a doctor to help him here.” Kyoya went to his clipboard pulling his black-rimmed glasses closer to his equally black eyes. “Well, I already called my surgeon and told him that I had an emergency and that he needed his help right away.” Kyoya absently replied while writing even more notes about the new comer. Haruhi, having come out of her state of shock, began to yell at Tamaki, even though he was just happy she was back to normal. As soon as she had decided that Tamaki just was going to behave like a child she entered the curtained room with her homework in tow. Tamaki began to reach for the curtain and opened it a little only to have his hand slapped by Haruhi’s fowl mood. “Stay out Tamaki-sempai I’ll watch over him until the doctor comes or the Host Club starts!” The twins looked at Kyoya then Tamaki to question, “Where still having the club today even with him here?” Kyoya and Tamaki gazed at each other, having their own mental conversation, and then looked at the twins with a smile, “yes we will Kaoru, Hikaru, but it will be delayed until Kyoya’s doctor comes.”

The surgeon exited the room after operating on the bay. He, like the other doctor, wasn’t happy with having to perform in such an unclean room, but also knew that speaking medical logic to a spoiled kid would be like speaking to a newly built brick wall. He cleared his throat as the club of ‘men’ surrounded him. “I’ve done all I can for this person but your cousin has lost a lot of blood and if your cousin does survive they will need lots of rest and can’t be strained too much.” With the storm over the club members gone they thanked the surgeon for his time and went about welcoming the club guests.

“Welcome!” The club harmonized as they greeted their guests with today’s themed costumes being the samurai. “Wow you guys all look so brave with your wooden swords!” Tamaki’s current guest commented while gazing over the music room they used as their club. Tamaki calmly nodded in response searching deep into the women’s eyes, “Maybe one day I’ll have the honor of fighting to defend you princess.” In response the lady’s face reddened and tried desperately to search for something else other than the blond ‘king’ to look at. The twins sat side by side entertaining their guests by showing their endless love for one another while Haruhi charmed her guests by telling her stories of hard work.

Even though the club tried their best to hide it every one of their guest came to ask about the curtained room. However, during Haurhi’s sixth group of guests a young man about her age dressed in a fresh crisp uniform sat quietly next to her; his eyes were an icy blue almost to close to snow, but lazy and zoned out reflecting his emotions. His hair was the orangey red of a just ripened tomato and jaggedly cut with layered bangs that framed his face even while being ruffled with sleep. The four girls (including Haruhi) stopped to watch as the new man gracefully picked up a tea cup and began to taste the instant coffee. Haruhi shot a questioning look at Kyoya who in turn pointed to the curtained room that had been opened enough for a person to exit. Haruhi easily concluded that this was the sleeping man who had recently had surgery. Her guests laughed as the man made a discussed face at the cup and elegantly pointed to the cream and sugar while giving a pleading look to Haruhi and her guests. Hikaru having watched the man leave the curtains knew who he was already, and while they were stumbling to get the items requested, he and his twin decided to join the party with what they searched for. The host’s guests watched as Hikaru and Kaoru leaned over the couch to pour in sugar and cream to the man’s coffee. In response to Hikaru and Kaoru’s sudden help he jumped causing the richly decorated tea cup with match saucer to shatter. Everyone watched as he stood and sprinted over to Mori to hide.
