Lin is classified as a demon only in the sense that she takes forms that most mortals would assume to be that of a hell creature, though she is well known to make herself appear as a human, animal or favorite inanimate object. She is really a form-less creature made of Thalaron radiation, which consumes organic material at the subatomic level. Whereas gamma radiation merely causes the mutation of an organism's genome, Thalaron radiation causes instant and complete necrosis in every cell it irradiates. Following exposure, the organism degenerates into an ash-like material, completely devoid of life which Lin then pulls into her existence and stores in a dense internal vacuum closely resembling another dimension in its form. Even a minuscule amount of Thalaron radiation could kill every living being within a five mile radius of Lin should she use it in mass effect. Due to its massive destructive potential, Thalaron radiation is considered to be a biogenic weapon*. This ability was bestowed upon Lin during the second world war by Jorgen under the direction of his uncle, or so it was believed. Lin was always capable of manipulating Thalaron radiation but it was not an active ability until the experimentation on the 'demon'. The Thalaron radiation usually come from Lin in a solid form, usually black -sometimes with red swirling that is a result of absorbed blood-. When used in a solid form, the Thalaron radiation is capable of melding with inorganic material and if it is Lin’s will over the substance it can be assumed just as organic matter would be, stored away for future use. It is assumed that Lin has absorbed close to four hundred thousand metric tonnes of matter in the last seventy to eighty years but there is no way to know for sure save for in a controlled experiment, which she isn’t likely to volunteer for any time soon.
