HISTORY
Early Years: Soon after the Calamity, the Purist Lin was sent out in company to master an inherit ability over mater that could have been of great success against the xekix. Unknowingly entering the resting place of an Ancient Xekix and despite their best efforts all were consumed. The Actuator attached to Lin's mechanism bound to the Xekix and the ruins began to sink into the Swamp.
Incubation: As the ruins crumbled, Lin, in a larval stage, began to experience the conflicting natures of its new being and hid away in the depths of the old temple feeding upon anything unfortunate enough to slither in the cracks. On occasion it would send out tendrils to tempt unaware beings closer to its dwelling, only to be lost and consumed inside.
Maturity: Lin emerged from the grotto after an extended period of incubation and began to alter the ruins to make them of easier access to any lost in the swamp. Though the grotto was kept as the inner sanctum , Lin spends its time wandering, rearranging the endless halls with traps, waiting on prey.
PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES
appearance A: Lin wears the skin of the Purist it once was, most commonly bound in a skintight facsimile, lightly draped in sparse, flowing robes formed from the combined ability of the mechanism and Xekix. Sections of body are at time made of images inspired by the rubble it resides in.
appearance B: A large, four legged form with a body again appearing inspired by home and items consumed with fallen victims. Patches of fur and feathers and bits of stone and metal and jewellery all jut up into a neck supporting a glassy orb over which the rough façade of hollow eye sockets and a partly skeletal, mandible mouth rests.

facial attributes: Hair is always framing the oval face, the eyes large and deep-set so that it looks almost ever curious and the lips have an almost constant subtle smile.

bearing: Agile and full of energy, Lin hardly sits still for long and often begins to pace, as such has a hard time resting.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE
Lin adapted the memories of Purist life to its being and can display a wide array of emotions, however a lack of connection with other beings has brought Lin to maintain a nearly constant pleasant mood externally, but internally harbours great melancholy, unable to fulfill its primal desires. Most sheds of personality are used only for the necessity of the hunt and to blend in, leaving a sometimes expressionless shell as the mind wanders to unlock the constraints of the mechanism. For the most part Lin is quiet and mindful of others but can easily be goaded into aggression and falls into long sessions of silent, pacing thought.
EQUIPMENT
ABILITIES:
With impressive control over its bodily structure on a molecular level, Lin can assume almost any shape, living or nonliving with uncanny accuracy, able to imitate a specific individual with frightening accuracy and detail. Further bolstered by the fact that when it consumes a living being that individual's memories and personality are absorbed into the worm's consciousness, which and stored within the bound actuator.
Perhaps most terrifying is the near invulnerability its metamorphic ability affords them as any material is simply allowed to pass through without harm. Furthermore, any portion separated from the main body is left without the controlling influence of the monster's brain, becoming an uncontrolled mass, spontaneously changing and mindlessly aggressive.
Lin has a basic relationship with the actuator and as such resorts to berserk tactics using extended limbs and flurries of blunt objects. It will always resort to crippling an opponent first, to gain any knowledge and one never knows when the next meal might be.
NOTES
As a side effect of being so removed Lin is limited in how much can be consumed and has developed a distaste for senseless killing. And prefers a fresh meal.
