Okay, I know this doesn't have the most fab title in the world, but we're working on it! Anyway, I actually rewrote this! The original one I started when I was 16 (8 years ago), just SUCKS, SUCKS, SUCKS! Anyway, does anyone know how to make slanted lettering on here?! (The part that's in red is something being thought!) If so, please tell me! So don't mind me! Hope you enjoy the story!
The TV Machine

Chapter One
Sixteen-year-old Kaitlin plopped down on the living-room couch, flipping the tv onto Cartoon Network. Her favorite program came on the late night Adult Swim run; Yu Yu Hakusho. Every night after her dad left for work, she would creep out to the living-room for the half hour that Yu Yu Hakusho was on.
It was the nineteenth episode that was playing that night. The opening began playing. Kaitlin yawned; the hot summer, evening air seem to be making her tired. She tried to keep her focus as three of the characters -- Hiei, Kurama, and Kuwabara -- faught their way through a castle to get to Yusuke.
Kaitlin's vision started to blur a bit. She stretched and then rubbed her eyes. It's so hot, she thought. She started drifting to sleep, when she saw what looked like red dust coming from the tv. Kaitlin's eyes opened wide as the weird red dust whirled around her and pulled her into a dark nothingness. She felt her head hit the cold, hard floor.

Kaitlin slowly sat up from the cold stone floor. She sat alone at the bottom of a long staircase. Slowly standing up, she brushed the dust off her blue jeans and pale, yellow button up shirt. She started making her way up the stairs.
Kaitlin sighed as the staircase continued to wind upwards and she began to wonder if she'd ever reach the top, when she suddenly heard voices chattering. She strained her ears to listen to what the voices were saying. It sounded as if one was being picked on.
"We could always use your intestines as rope." said an angry, disembodied voice.
"Hiei," another voice said, cooly. "This is no time to argue."
Kaitlin slowly peered around the corner, being careful to not make any noise. As she crawled slowly closer to the voices, feet suddenly appeared in front of her face. She gulped as she realized that the black shoes on the feet belonged to none other than Hiei. She quickly stood up, and took one step back.
"Who the hell are you?" Hiei asked the startled Kaitlin.
