He told her to wait on that dock by the pier,
He said he'd be back shortly, that she had nothing to fear.
But minutes turned to hours and he hadn't returned,
and still she waited her feelings to stern.
That soft breathe no longer his to her,
but the whisper of wind like the sounds of the sea.
Wait here for me he said as he left her by the shore,
but he wouldn't return for his love was no more.
Searching for him has been out of hate.
So sadly she realizes his love wasn't her fate.
she trys to say she misses him but she knows she only fooling herself
The idea of that happily ever after is a ghost in itself.
she thinks back to the moonlight kisses the blush of her face,
but her mind is too occupied to even feel its grace.
Where would she go now? No place to call home,
that was what frightened her, being alone.
Don't fall for a lost love,
think of the girl still chasing the ghost of her heart
and stay safely within the known,
or you'll end up alone, somewhere by the sea.
