Markings: he has the symbol of a fang on his forehead, it’s not colored.
Cloths: he almost always wears black leather pants, but can also be found in black jeans, or when the occasion demands it, black slacks. He loves to wear his solid gold three-plated necklace, and when he’s not wearing that he’s wearing a small black ankh necklace on a silver chain. He has gold arm bands, both a solid set and a set in the shape of a snake (he wears one set or the other, only one armband per arm), he goes shirtless quite often but also loves fishnet and belts. He doesn’t like collars or chains, at all. He has a set of earrings he wears most of the time, it’s three little balls that dangle down in a chain-like fashion and at the bottom of the chain is a fang from one of his hounds. He wears one in each ear. He has several shirts that close via three chains across the front, and he also has gold wrist bands he wears when he’s shirtless that are the length of three arm bands. Mostly just think Egyptian.
Make-up: black eye-liner and eye make-up that fits his Egyptian background, that is, he adds a line from the corner of his eyes to about an inch out and a spike straight down from the center under each eye (no curl though).
Personality: Anu is very playful and cocky, fun and serious, deadly and mischievous. He loves his hounds like a family, and he is very loyal and protective of them and anyone he cares about. He loves to play pranks with Chaos, Sin and Bakura (yes from Yugioh). Aside from pranking others Anubis takes his job very seriously. He guides the souls of the dead from the physical realm to the realms beyond (Heaven, Hell, The Underworld, Purgatory, etc.). He is slightly cocky and arrogant due to his status as a God, but he trains hard with some of the others and admits defeat when he knows he’s lost. He adopted one of the hellhound pups as his own when it’s parents died protecting him during the last war, and he named the pup Mischief. He’s very fond and protective of Mischief and loves him dearly. He trains his pup in everything from fighting to loving with hands on experience, though Mischief is only old enough to have learned about foreplay and what to do with his hands and mouth, Anu has yet to teach him about the actual act of sex with either gender. It takes a lot to truly anger Anubis, but when he’s angry he transforms and others run. He can get pissed off easily enough though, whenever his friends tease him about training Mischief or such things. Then he growls and bites and gives chase (all in human form) but he doesn’t cause any real damage and is mostly just playing in an irritable pissy sort of way.
Other form(s): When angered Anubis can be terrifying, his eyes glow red and his fangs and nails elongate as he dives in to attack. He also can transform into his Hellhound form, a black dog with tall legs and a sleek body great for running, piercing red eyes and fangs sharp enough to pierce bone.
Important tidbits: Long ago, in Ancient Egypt, when Gods and Goddesses still roamed the Earth, Anubis lived in a temple with Ba’ast, Ra, Seth, and Solen. Anubis and Ra were very much in love, and Ba’ast was a sister to Anubis. Seth was a trusted adviser and sometimes friend to Anubis, and a lover to Ba’ast. Solen was then as always the lover and soul-mate to Anubis, and both Solen and Ra understood that Anubis would always love Solen most, but none were jealous of the other because each knew where they stood with the God. Solen was the protector, and he would kill anything that dared to threaten or harm Anubis, and Ra was the hunter, the one who would go out and hunt humans or play pranks with Anubis when their time of death came, if only to spend more time with his love. One day Anubis and Ra spent the day together and wound up sleeping together in Au’s bed. Afterwords Ra smirked and knocked Anubis upside the head with a lead torch holder, leaving him tied naked to the bed. When Anu woke it was to hear Ra scream, and he quickly tore free of his bonds and bounded after his fleeing lover in confusion. But Ra fled into the night and though Anu was fast then, Ra was the Sun God (King of the Egyptian Gods) and much faster. Not three days later a mob of humans was at the door to the temple and throwing torches upon it. Anubis was the only one home at the time and as the flames roared around him he burst out into the daylight through the front door to find out what was happening. People screamed about death, shouting that he had taken the lives of children from a neighboring city, shouting that he had burned down the temple of Ra and that the Sun God favored them no longer and that their crops were withering and their families were dying, and that he had to pay for the blood staining their streets in order to appease Ra. Anubis immediately understood that Ra had sent them, and that Ra had chosen to increase the sun’s heat on the land to do so, but he did not understand why his love would betray him so. Without the desire to kill all these humans before their time, Anubis was forced to flee as well, and his hounds, invisible to human eyes unless he ordered it otherwise, followed. It wasn’t until recently that Anu learned the truth of that day so very long ago. Seth is a shape-shifter, and it was Seth, not Ra, whom he spent the day with and had sex with. When the true Ra saw Seth standing naked over a naked Anu on the bed he fled, and Seth had burned Ra’s temple down and killed many children using weapons Anubis was fond of. Ra thought Anu had gone berserk, and demanded he be stopped, but was unable to face the one who cheated on him, so sent a mob of faithful humans instead, knowing that Anu wouldn’t kill them all. Now the two are re-united with the truth, but after so many centuries apart they are forging a new relationship, both knowing that Seth did all he could to tear them apart, but neither knowing why. Now Seth is with Ba’ast again, and though Ba’ast still loves Anu and he loves her, she has fallen for Seth, a decision that Anubis accepts, as long as he never has to see Seth again, for if he does he has sworn not to stop Solen from tearing the other God apart piece by piece.
Family: His adopted son is Mischief, his son that traveled here from the future that he’ll never allow to happen is Seta, his daughter (also from the future and never to be born in this time) is Maru. Ba’ast is like a sister/best friend/adviser to him all in one.
Relationships: His lover and best friend is Chaos, his life-mate and soul-mate is Solen (the Alpha of the Hell Hounds and the one most loyal and dedicated to protecting Anubis), Ra is his ex-lover and one he still loves. Chaos and Anubis have a lot in common and they are closer than brothers in their friendship, and both love trying to dominate each other in bed. The only one Solen will ever submit to in any way is Anubis, but he tends to stay in his hound form and sleeps at the foot of Anu’s bed that way, except when he’s feeling danger or is worried or Anu asks him to change, then he’ll cuddle up behind his master in his human form. Bit of trivia, Gadabadi means Chaos in Arabic (or maybe it was Hindi?) so taking that last name was his way of claiming Chaos as his own.
