MY OWN SECRETS....
I often wondered about things as a kid
I often wondered about things as a kid. Like how would the world be like if everything were literally upside down? My teaches from then always told my parents that my imagination was wild, and very detailed. I would picture everything suddenly being turned upside down like in the little nemo cartoon when he and flip entered a hall and had to edge their way along the sides in order not to fall down onto the ceiling. I would imagine walking on my ceiling, and looking out my window while sitting down. Looking up, I can see the dirty ground of my backyard. But when looking down...I would see the endless blue sky. Sometimes the thought would return many times when I was outside. Ideas would swim in my head. How would I go to the neighbors house to play? how would I get anywhere? I always thought that I could maybe shimmy along my house walls and use the fence to help edge my way over to the next house using my tip toes along the pushed out areas of the fences. Again I would think about the sky, and how it would feel like if I slipped and fell downwards into its never ending blue embrace. Looking upwards and helplessly watching as the street, houses, grass, light polls all grew farther and farther away from my reach. I found it a bit trip when majora's mask did a similar thing years later in one of the temples.

One of my favorite things other then playing in the court with my friends would be to sit in my room and play with my toys. Sometimes my older brothers would humor me and play along, and sometimes..they would do their own thing while leaving me alone. I used to think that if I tied a towel around my neck I'd become a super hero. Other times I'd drawl on paper and try to match the artistic levels as my older brothers. I would often play video games when my siblings were not hogging it, or read the newspaper to my father since he didn't know how to read himself. The times my imagination would run ramped the most happened at night. Forming horrific creatures in the darkness that would stare back at me with eerie eyes and the intent to cause harm. One of them was a gray leathery skinned man who wore a black tank top, and torn jeans with work boots. His hair was white and always pointed out in different directions. His teeth were very yellow, and crooked. The eyes were small, and slightly sunken in with black outlining them, and yellow circling the iris. He was the one I had dubbed the kid even though he was the size of an adult. The next was a hideous looking gorilla with a large body build. His skin always looked ready to rip apart while sharp teeth jutted from his lips whenever he sneered. His eyes were identical to the kid. Both of them always lurked in certain areas of the house. The kid, near the kitchen in the living room. The gorilla, outside my bedroom window. They never seemed to hide under my bed or in my closet like most kids would think the monsters lurked. Whenever I had to use the bathroom, I would keep looking back at my night light before making a mad dash for the bathroom door and quickly flick the lights on in there. Always checking behind the shower curtain for anything that may try to pop out. My sense of feeling safe against these two would always be my stuffed yorky dog that I had named jojo, and my stuffed simba the lion. I always placed those two at my feet in case the kid and the gorilla tried to pull me off my bed by the feet.

those are some of the musings I had when I was a child. Sometimes, I think back on those times of inspiration, and imagination.
