Chap 11.

It was finally time. An all out assault on the Empire. Then entire Wolves Reunion militia was advancing towards the capitol city. I stood in the doorway of the plane we were in, as they were out main vehicle for this attack. We also had tanks and humvee's advancing.
"Lo'rial, how long till the EMP bombardment?" I asked.
"ETA for EMP's is about...Fifteen minutes."
"Alright. About time we settled this s**t. Now, i'll review the plan. We reach the LZ, deploy and head towards the nearest building to lead underground. From there we proceed to an underground parking lot, that will lead us right in front of the Capitol Building. Once there, we storm in and eliminate anyone we see, kill the Emperor, claim the Capitol ours, and we win. Easy."
"Right. And what about the metric ******** of soldiers?" Alex asked.
"It's why we have our entire Militia here."
"Sounds easy enou-" We where hit.
"What? Where's the EMP burst?!" We we're going down. From the looks, the tail rotor was slammed by a few RPG's. We went spiraling, and crashed a few meters outside of the city, in a field of some sort. As I fell out before it hit the ground, I stumbled forward and landed on my hands, and noticed a wincing pain. I checked the palm of my right hand, and sure enough, there was a gash across it, about three inches wide. Ouch.
"Uh, Elizabeth, I could used some assistance." She came over, took a look at my hand, and sprayed it and wrapped it.
"Think you can use it?" She asked.
"Yeah. I've taken worse hits than this." We continued on our way, and about half way to the city, the EMP burst finally launched. About damn time. About then was when we encountered resistance. After easily dispatching them, we continued on.
"Oh joy, maintenance tunnels." Danni said.
"What's the matter, don't like being underground?"
"Not really." She looked at me with a solid expression, as if it was something she didn't want to talk about. We went in.
"Now, after a couple turns and a mile or so, we should be in the parking lot." We kept going, and reached two large doors. The button on the side of the wall wouldn't move them, so I simply forced them to move. As soon as I walked in, I had a shotgun to my spine, a pistol and an smg to my head, and couldn't move further.
"Hey there, Revolver." A large, robotic thing said.
"About time you showed up." The woman said. She had purpleish hair, and it was put in a short ponytail. They were both dressed for battle.
"Put down the guns, or we will fire upon you. I'm not caring how many lives I waste today." Alex said.
"Now now, is that anyway to greet your commander's parents?" The pony tail woman said.
"Wh-what?!" Everyone said.
"Guys, meet my mom and dad." I said, and all I could do is grin.
"Your dad is a robot now?" Elizabeth asked. Then, Dad retracted his armor, showing he was fully human.
"Just a suit of cybernetics." He said.
"Well, Mister Adamska, Mrs. Adamska, nice to see you again. You may remember me. Part of the Soutwond family-"
"Danni, we remember you. You too, Elizabeth. So, how does a girl like you fall for a boy like him? If anything, you are out of his league. I mean, you could do SO MUCH better."
"Shut up mom!"
"I mean, sure, everyday after school since he turned twelve, all he could do was talk about you, but still."
"SHUT UP!"
"Aww, lookit. He's blushing. Don't want your little girlfriend to see you blushing? Hee hee hee."
"Why are you two here?"
"Simple. All of this goes a lot deeper than you think. All of this isn't just about Weston and his freaks."
"Hey!" Elizabeth, Danni and I said.
"Right, sorry. Forgot my son and his best friends were freaks. Not like my son wasn't a freak before."
"....Here? Of all places mom, in the middle of a WAR, you patronize me?"
"What kind of mother would I be if I didn't?" With that, she smiled. Then the roar started. Not a roar like a single thing, but a great roar as if many creatures had gone feral, and linked under the same mind.
"s**t. I was afraid this would happen." My father said, and redeployed his armor.
"Infected attacking...plus this war...This is not gonna end well." Mom said.
"We'll stay. You kids go. Finish the fight." Dad said.
"Right. We'll return here to get you guys. Hold out for as long as you can. And mom, dad....welcome back."
"We love you son." I was quickly in an embrace form my parents, and I hugged them back. We then left.

"Rose, do you think it was the right thing to do?"
"Of course Samual. We love our son. We have to help him."
"Well, here they come." And then they attacked.


"Alright, we should be able to exit here-"
"Well well, Adamska. About time you showed up." Weston's cold voice said.
"Really? What do you want?"
"To finish this. It's about time. I need you dead."
"Uh huh. Right. Like that's gonna happen."
"Come. Lay your weapons down, and fight me hand to hand."
"Alright. I'm in the mood to beat the s**t outta someone anyways." As I gave my weapons to Alex, Weston and I were in-cased in a dome of pure biotic energy.
"So your friends don't...interfere."
"Right. Let's do this." We began. For every attack I would try, he would counter, and I would do the same. We got no where. It went on for hours. Landing small blows, not doing enough damage. Until finally, he got me. Grabbed me by the throat, and held me up. Choking the life from me, he demanded to see the wolf before he kills me.
"I."
"Don't.
"Need."
"It." With the last word, I grabbed his arm, and let the wolf take over anyways, and overpowered him.After beating him, he was on his knees.
"Finally. Mop can have her revenge." I drew Mop's USP .45 from my leg holster where I usually have my P220, put it between his eyes, and fired.
"Not today, child!" It was Aster. Before the bullet left the chamber, he pinned me against the wall with his biotics, and took Weston.
"His power, will be mine."
"What happened to the truce?! *Cough*"
"It's over." He then disappeared, and I fell to the ground, heaving and choking.
"God. *Cough* Dammit.* Cough*"
"All we can do now is move on. Let's go." Elizabeth picked me up, healed me and we moved on. We reached the Capitol Building gates.
