Appearance:User Image
Gaia Screenname: Ruki XXIII
Name: Spy (true name withheld, and if divulged he's probably lying)
Series: Team Fortress 2
Age: Looks to be anywhere from early 30's to mid 40's
Species: Human
Starting Location: Neo Domino City - Park
Side: Neutral
Personality: The Spy is highly secretive, which is a give in based on his line of work. Somewhat vain, as he is the only one of his coworkers that vocally worries about the state of his appearance. A master of mimicry and manipulation, he often gets what he wants by pretending to be someone he's not. Can often be charming, especially towards women, and fancies himself a lady killer. Can just as often be cold and calloused, and is quick to dole out insults to those he feels beneath him. These can range in wit from as high as playing off of others' insecurities, to as low as constant fat jokes.
Powers/Items:User Image
-Revolver: Standard, six shot revolver. Nothing special here.
-Butterfly Knife: Or, to weapon enthusiasts, a balisong. Again, still a normal, standard weapon.
-Spytron 3000 Disguise Kit: Disguised (and doubly functions) as a cigarette case, this relatively small device reacts along with self-produced paper masks to create a hologram that completely encompasses the holder's body. It compensates for nearly everything, including height differences, and even alters the voice to sound like the chosen disguise. For the purposes of this role play, it has a special sensor to scan other living things and add them to its databank. However, it has limited memory, and can only store up to eighteen individuals at any one time. What the disguise cannot compensate for is the sense of touch. While inanimate objects can be manipulated to appear to be held correctly, anyone that bumps into Spy or touches him while disguised will be able to feel the difference, and if the size has been altered, will either pass through the image or be halted by the man's invisible true form.
-Invisibility Watch: Appearing as an ordinary wristwatch, it can be activated to bend the light around the wearer and whatever small thing he may happen to be holding, providing complete invisibility. However, the illusion is fragile, and effectiveness is dramatically reduced if another bumps into him, or if he manages to get injured. In such a case, the watch becomes momentarily confused, and the Spy will become visible as a hazy, red, translucent silhouette for the duration of contact (and with injuries, for just less than a second for each injury). The manipulation of light is very power consuming, and will only provide nine seconds of complete cover, or ten if the transition is included. Fortunately, it self-recharges, yet takes a full thirty seconds to go from completely depleted to completely full. It is possible to activate the cloaking properties if the watch isn't fully charged, at the obvious cost of less time invisible.
-Electro-Sapper: A device that is primarily used in the destruction of machines. The larger the machine is, the longer it will take to be destroyed. Since the attack from Gray Mann's robots, it has been altered to be able to handle much more complex and secure machinery. However, while something like a robot is still susceptible to the Sapper's ability to disable, it can't outright destroy an automaton. Instead, robots will be temporarily disabled, or, depending on their size, just temporarily slowed down. Giants are slowed, more human-sized are disabled.
Bio: Contracted to Reliable Excavation and Demolition (RED) as one of a team of nine, the Spy worked with his fellow mercs to the best of his abilities to fight against the hired mercenaries of Builder's League United (BLU), which was comprised of another team of nine that was far too eerily similar to his own to be pure coincidence. He was happy enough to be in the little war game with no consequences, and even entertained a personal life outside of what was much more like a standard job than any other contract he'd taken. Unfortunately, it caused him to grow a bit lazy and careless off the battlefield, which the BLU Spy took advantage of, if those pictures of him and his lady friend (the BLU Scout's mother) are any indication. Fortunately, the only fallout from that failure was that he unintentionally provided his enemies with dirty pictures, and he had gained a new way to insult the enemy Scout.
That changed when Gray Mann suddenly appeared, and murdered his brothers Redmond and Blutarch, the heads of RED and BLU respectively. Both teams were gathered and, via recorded video, informed that they were all fired. And then they were rehired, by the head of munitions supply Mann Co.'s Saxton Hale, as Gray had targeted Hale's company. He fought alongside his former enemies against waves and waves of Gray Mann's army of robots. Each of which appeared to be designed after him and his teammates, even programmed with recorded bits of their own usual battle banter.
When it seemed his future was at its most uncertain in years, he was somehow caught by the Bio-Gate in the middle of a battle, and to him it seems he's respawned in an entirely new world.
Crush: N/A (unless Scout's mom counts)
