Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?

Friðrika is 5'8" tall, with long, skinny limbs and wide hips.

2. How old is she?

Friðrika is fifteen years old.

3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?

Friðrika carries herself perfectly straight with evident confidence, ready to look the world in the eye.

4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?

Quite healthy. Friðrika has no illnesses or physical disabilities to speak of, and is very physically active. In short, she's at the top of her game.

5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?

Her movements are graceful and often rather perky, with a childish bounce to her actions.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?

Friðrika is beautiful, although she's got a bit of an unkempt look which either lowers or enhances her appearance, depending on your perspective. Friðrika herself is aware she's attractive thanks to comments from her friends, and generally has that bone deep confidence in her own beauty that comes from actually not giving a ******** if you're beautiful or not.

7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?

Pale and clear as porcelain. How poetic.

8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.

Friðrika's hair is extremely long- long enough that she can sit on it when it's lose- and auburn colored. It's straight and thick, and more than a little shaggy. She mostly wears it in a braid, because otherwise it gets in the way all the time.

9. What color are her eyes?

THE HELLISH RED OF THE BLOOD OF DAMNED SOULS they're brown.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?

Petite shoulders, small ears that stick out, and prominent collarbones.

11. What are her chief tension centers?

Whenever she's upset, Friðrika's neck and throat tend to choke up and she finds it difficult to speak. She'll often also hunch up when this happens.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?

Friðrika favors bright, bold colors and simple patterns. Her clothes are generally rather casual and tomboyish, leaning more towards the t-shirt and jeans side of the spectrum. Although whenever she's at home, she's usually wearing a nightgown regardless of the time of day. Friðrika's wardrobe has a moderate amount of variation, but isn't particularly huge.

13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?

There's occasionally one or two discrepancies since she doesn't get them custom tailored, but for the most part, yes and yes.

14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?

Friðrika does have the PALADIN uniform. She actually likes the electric blue color, but the ensemble's still kind of... formal for her tastes.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?

Panties.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?

Friðrika has a rather sing-song voice. It rises and falls in an almost musical fashion.

2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?

Soothingly and evenly, although when speaking English she tends to hesitate due to her unfamiliarity with the language.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?

Friðrika has a distinct Icelandic accent, something that other people at PALADIN may notice. Furthermore, since she hasn't spoken much with native English speakers before joining PALADIN, her pronunciation of words is often a bit off.

4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?

Her first language is Icelandic, which she's obviously fluent in. She can also read English quite well, although she tends to stumble when speaking English with people more familiar with the language. Slang terms and the like tend to throw her for a loop.

5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?

Initially, Friðrika only spoke English at school, although she often read and wrote it at home. Now that she's in PALADIN, where there aren't many Icelandic speakers but plenty of English speakers, she's switched to using English most of the time.

6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?

She's a reasonably good impromptu speaker, albeit in a fake it 'til you make it kind of way. At any rate, when she wants to speak she doesn't hesitate to do so.

7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?

It depends on what language Friðrika's speaking. In her native tongue, she's quite eloquent, but when it comes to speaking English her vocabulary is much simpler and she has trouble phrasing things correctly.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?

Very intelligent. Perhaps not an exceptional genius, but Friðrika definitely has an above-average IQ. She has a reasonable mix of book learning and practical know-how, but due to her age and overall life experience she leans towards book-smart.

2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate?

Friðrika almost always needs time to deliberate, if only because she really dislikes making decisions without getting to fully assess things first.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?

Friðrika's thoughts and conclusions are usually built piece by logical piece. She tends not to accept ideas, no matter how appealing, unless she can see some clear evidence behind them. This is part of why she's so stubborn- there's almost always a strong foundation beneath her thoughts.

4. What kind of education has the character had?

Friðrika had nearly completed her compulsory education when she was inducted into PALADIN. She has been going to the same school with the same people for her entire life. Her town's school was a fairly good one, and the teachers were able to give her a fair amount of attention because the classrooms weren't so overstuffed.

5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?

From her father, Friðrika has learned a fair deal about animal care and veterinary work, although she's far from an actual trained expert. She's something of an outdoorswoman in general, actually. Friðrika's particularly interested in natural science and in seeing more of the world in general.

6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?

Despite not being overly chatty, Friðrika's more of an extrovert. Being around other people or animals reinvigorates her.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?

Friðrika's not prone to mood swings, and her general stoicism makes it hard to tell whether she's more happy or sad. Mostly, Friðrika comes across as calm and paying close attention to whatever's in front of her.

8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?

Friðrika's generally a little wary. She doesn't trust new and unfamiliar things very easily, and will wait until she's gotten a better grip on things before taking action.

9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?

Definitely more of a reactor. Again, Friðrika likes to be sure of the situation before she does anything, which can make her a bit slow to take action.

10. Which is her default: fight or flight?

Generally, when faced with a stressful situation or problem, Friðrika will stand her ground. She will refuse to give up for as long as she possibly can, and may have to be forced to let things be.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?

Friðrika's sense of humor is often a bit dry, and she's fairly fond of farces: The more absurd and complicated a situation, the more amusing she finds it.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?

Nothing I'm deliberately writing her with.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person?

Friðrika's life has been extremely peaceful and predictable for the most part, so there are very few 'defining moments' in her life. Most obviously would be her induction into PALADIN, along with her discovery of her persuasion powers at the age of twelve. She discovered her powers after accidentally psychically persuading her mother to give her a second helping of pudding. Subsequent exploration of her powers at first thrilled, then terrified her.

14. What does she fear?

Friðrika will say that she doesn't like using her powers for moral reasons, but she's also a little frightened of them, and by extension any other persuaders she happens to meet. She's also not comfortable with losing control over things.

15. What are her hopes or aspirations?

Being fond of animals and nature, Friðrika aspires to help conservation efforts. She loves her homeland and wants to continue living there even after traveling, and wants to be happily married with a comfortable home.

16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?

Friðrika doesn't really have much in the line of secrets. She's reticent about certain subjects, but would be willing to share them with the right person.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents.

Friðrika's father is named Ólafur Snorrisson. He's a fairly dreamy, absent-minded man, and a great lover of animals. Friðrika and her father have a very close, loving relationship, although he's often busy with his veterinary work. Friðrika helps ground him with her dependable nature, and she appreciates his kind heart.

Her mother is named Lilja Sverrirsdóttir, and sadly she isn't as close to Friðrika as her husband is. Not that they don't get along, but Lilja's a passionate, hot-tempered sort, which leads to plenty of conflicts with the stubborn Friðrika. Lilja's also one of those parents who worries a lot about their kid's future, which tends to conflict with Friðrika, who prefers to take things more slowly.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?

Friðrika has no siblings.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?

Various aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents, all of whom have either known Friðrika her whole life or Friðrika has known their whole life. They're a tightly knit group, although Friðrika definitely gets along better with some than others.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them?

Pretty much everyone in her grade, whom she's known since kindergarten, and their families. There are enough of them that it would take a while to list, but suffice to say they know her very well and she knows them very well. She doesn't get along with everybody all the time, but they all are connected and rely on each other.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?

Friðrika's best friend is Ásdís Arisdóttir. The two of them have lived next door all their lives, and don't even really remember when they met because it would have literally been shortly after birth. Ásdís is Friðrika's more feminine and diplomatic counterpart, and the two of them are ridiculously close.

6. Does she have other close friends?

Yes! Like I've established, Friðrika lives in this ridiculously idyllic small town where most people know each other by sight and name and live as basically one big family. With occasional dysfunctions because nobody's perfect, but still, really close. Most of Friðrika's friends are boys. There's Kristján and Vilhjálmur on the football team, and Brynjar, the most intelligent boy in Friðrika's grade.

7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people?

Despite her close-knit community, once outside of her hometown Friðrika actually has some trouble making friends. She's unused to meeting new people, and her blunt personality can send some people fleeing in the opposite direction.

8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends?

Difficult question considering how much these two overlap, but probably family.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once?

Single.

10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?

Nope. Actually, Friðrika has never even been in a relationship.

11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest?

Friðrika's never really been interested in anyone, and a good chunk of that does have to do with how closely-knit her town is: Every boy in her age group she's known for long enough that she considers them to be a sibling. The rest of it is her age. Friðrika's fairly young and not overly romantic, so her biological clock isn't exactly ticking.

12. What does she look for in a romantic partner?

Friðrika would want to be with an intelligent, stable, and devoted guy. Intelligence is important, because she really isn't interested in a guy who might not be able to understand her. Devotion however, is probably the most important attribute. Friðrika wants someone who'd take her and their relationship seriously. He'd have to like animals since she intends on having pets. She's also fairly cuddly, so a particularly tactile boyfriend would be a huge plus.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any?

No children, and only the vaguest of ideas that she might want some someday.

14. Does she have any rivals or enemies?

Fríða, a girl Friðrika's age, who's a fairly competitive football player. The two of them both try and out-do one another on the field, but for the most part they don't take the rivalry too seriously.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale?

Probably a two. Friðrika sees males as more sexually and romantically desirable in general, but she's not entirely immune to beautiful women.

16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her?

Friðrika's got a fairly simplistic outlook on sex: It is a physically pleasurable activity that in certain circumstances is used for reproduction. Everything else just seems to be over-thinking it, in her opinion. That said, she is curious about it. It's not her main goal to get laid right now, but it's something she 'd like to try, if she's able to find someone she's attracted to.

17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?

Let's not get into that here.

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type?

Friðrika was born on May 19th, 2008. This makes her a a Taurus and an Earth Rat. Both of these fit her fairly well.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life?

None of the above. Friðrika's a skeptic at heart, and generally requires more than 'faith' before she'd be willing to believe in such things. (This is something she tends to clash with her father a bit about.)

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?

Perhaps as a result of growing up in a town where secrets are next to unheard of, Friðrika values honesty and truthfulness to a remarkable degree. She will always, always tell the truth, and is extremely uncomfortable with omitting things or sugarcoating. She would, like most people, be willing to lie if the life of someone was on the line, but even then she'd probably feel weird about it and try dancing around the truth before outright lying.

4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?

For the most part, Friðrika would be considered intolerant. If something seems stupid or nonsensical, she'll say so and she thinks people should be willing and able to defend their beliefs. She will, over time, let things go if the belief in question is something she can live with.

5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them?

She tends to assume that people with differing philosophies from hers are probably 'irrational' and don't have a legitimate reason behind it. She does, after all, pride herself on having logical reasoning behind her philosophies, so therefore she sort of assumes that people who believe differently didn't really put logic into their thoughts. She's not fully aware of this assumption on her part, but it's there. I should probably remind you at this point that Friðrika is fifteen.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?

Quite good. Friðrika's family makes a modest amount of money and they aren't drowning in debt. I mean, Friðrika herself has little money because she's fifteen, but her situation at home is stable.

2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her?

Friðrika hasn't gone through many changes in her life. Her family is considered to be comfortable, perhaps even well-to-do. Friðrika, oddly, doesn't take this as much for granted as you'd think, and pays attention to her savings.

3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others?

Friðrika lives in a very small house with a large yard. She shares this building with her parents and two dogs. It's a nice, cozy kind of place, and Friðrika's quite attached to the location.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on?

Friðrika doesn't spend her money very much, as she likes to know she has a stockpile in case of emergencies. However, she does buy things for her fish tank, snacks, books, and gifts for her friends. She's particularly prone to seeing something and going, "Hmm, that reminds me of X. I will get them this!"

5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else?

Friðrika is hugely uncomfortable at PALADIN when she first joins, feeling rather like a tropical plant that's been transplanted to Nunavet. When/if she starts making friends, she gets a little better and more involved with things. However, fighting Crustaceans is never something she's fully comfortable and interested in, and if it weren't for her sense of loyalty she'd probably continue to fight against working there.

6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time?

Much of Friðrika's free time is spent with her school's association football team. Outside of that she's a huge outdoorswoman, and spends much of her time hiking, cycling, walking the dogs, and so forth. She takes care of her goldfish and and she helps her mother tend to a garden. If she still has time left over, she'll read or bake.

7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?

Friðrika's been a vegetarian since she was twelve, although she's occasionally considered giving that up. For now though, she won't eat meat or dairy products. Outside of that, Friðrika's something of a glutton and tends to always have a snack of some sort at hand.
