Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy?

Hannah is 5'1" tall and has a rather boyish figure.

2. How old is she?

Sixteen years old.

3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch?

She stands up mostly straight, although she has a slightly awkward look due to her habit of constantly craning up at things.

4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?

Hannah's a reasonably active and healthy young woman, fairly hyperactive with plenty of energy to burn and she uses a bicycle to get around a lot. Her only real disability is her nearsightedness, which makes her squint a lot, particularly without her glasses.

5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?

Her movements are a little jumpy and rapid. That is to say, Hannah will suddenly start, move around, then snap to a stop until she starts as suddenly again. And when she does move, she always appears to be in a bit of a hurry.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror?

Hannah's not drop-dead sexy, but she's fairly cute and has a face with nice, proportionate features. Hannah's aware she could have it worse, but isn't honestly too fond of her figure and face, and wishes she was more mature looking. She doesn't think her outward appearance reflects her inner self very much.

7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?

In a cliche, Hannah's complexion is peaches and cream. Which means pale, with yellow and pink undertones.

8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style.

Hannah's hair is dark brown, silky, straight, and is currently in a mildly shaggy short bob. She usually keeps it in a pixie cut, but when she first joins PALADIN it's grown out some.

9. What color are her eyes?

Brown.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?

Small hands, big ears, and a rather flat chest.

11. What are her chief tension centers?

Hannah tends to chew her lips when she's absorbed in her thoughts. Headaches are particularly common when she's stressed, and she'll pinch the bridge of her nose, rub her forehead, etc.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit?

Fairly nice, Hannah's actually a fairly stylish sort of girl. Her general look is bright colors and gothic accessories. She has plenty of variety in her wardrobe, and she can actually be a bit of a fashionesta.

13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them?

Yes and yes.

14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?

Hannah's PALADIN uniform is a little stiff in comparison to what she usually wears.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?

Panties.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?

Perky, with an excited pitch, a bit like the chirps of a parakeet.

2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate?

She speaks quickly and confidently, as if she assumes everyone finds her words absolutely fascinating.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?

Hannah's from Quebec, so there's a certain French sound to her words. She tends to speak her sentences with an upturned tone at the end, much like a question? And she pronounces 'a' sounds as long... So instead of Larry it's Lahree.

4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency?

Hannah's actually an Anglophone, although she speaks Quebecois French very well, since many of her friends are Francophones. She knows some Mandarin, but unlike her aunt's family she can't really read it or converse properly in it.

5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations?

She likes using religious French swears, and will switch from English to French depending on who she's talking to. When meeting someone who she doesn't know what their native language is, she'll usually greet them in both English and French, in order to see which they recognize.

6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words?

She's quite good at impromptu speech. I mean, she's not going to spontaneously come up with the Gettysburg Address, but talking and being understood is something she can do.

7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?

Fairly eloquent, although her turn of phrases are sometimes playfully childish. Words will probably fail her if she's attempting to have a Serious Discussion About Emotions or something similar.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart?

Hannah's smarter than average in many ways, mostly academically. Her psychic powers also seem to work as a sort of 'boost' when it comes to figuring out how electronic devices work. She tends to overestimate her intelligence a bit, but she is legitimately clever.

2. Does she think on his feet, or does she need time to deliberate?

Hannah can make decisions almost immediately, although if possible she prefers a bit of time to work out a plan of attack. It's a bit hard to explain, but she likes to come up with a course of action rather than relying on indy ploys, but she's not at all indecisive about doing things.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?

Hannah has a short attention span when it comes to fiddly details and uninteresting issues, preferring to latch onto whatever's new and shiny. Although she comes across as spontaneous, she does have a certain degree of logic to her thoughts: if I do X then Y will happen. If I do Z then Q will happen, that sounds more interesting, so let's do that instead. She's also very much a positive thinker.

4. What kind of education has the character had?

Hannah is sixteen and living in Montreal, and is nearing the end of her secondary education when she decides to drop out and join PALADIN. She's been taking the advanced courses since middle school, and was often tutored by her highly intellectual father while she was in elementary school.

5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about?

Besides her technopathy, Hannah's particularly talented at math and is good at working with her hands, assembling things, and working out graphs. I've mentioned that she's bilingual- she's better at reading French than English. Thanks to her father, Hannah also knows a fair bit about Canadian history. Hannah's primarily interested in learning more about psychics and testing the limits of her powers, and beyond that has vague ideas about going into engineering someday if being Magneto doesn't work out.

6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert?

Hannah is very much an extrovert. She actually finds it easier in some ways to think with an audience, and believes things to be twice as fun if there's another person involved. (Unless, y'know, she really hates them.)

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?

Upbeat as ********, Hannah's usually only focused on enjoying herself, whatever the situation. She's neither easily angered nor saddened, but can be a bit obnoxious to the point of bullying.

8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?

It depends. Some of the time she'll be disinterested, and will probably try to ignore the new thing in favor of something more interesting. If it's sufficiently exciting, she's much more enthusiastic and eager to explore.

9. Is she more likely to act, or to react?

More of an actor, in that she will actively seek out things to keep her occupied and interesting situations. Hannah's not above causing trouble out of boredom.

10. Which is her default: fight or flight?

If she's genuinely unsure whether or not she can handle something, Hannah will attempt to beat a dignified retreat.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?

Hannah's extremely fond of pranks, and otherwise catching people off-guard. She can actually be a bit of a bully, as she finds it amusing to see people squirm, although she usually doesn't mean any long-term harm. She'll also laugh at slapstick humor.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them?

I've done like no deliberate research into this, so people more psychologically adept may roll their eyes at me here. But I can see Hannah as having Aspergers or some other form of high-functioning Autism, due to her empathy issues and thought processing. Hannah's empathy issues are more along the lines of obliviousness than anything else, so if she genuinely upsets someone she'll usually feel a bit guilty and try to make it up to them.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person?

Those would probably be her father's insistence that her powers were nothing to be ashamed of, watching the reports of Crustacean attacks on television and her father's subsequent heart attack, and fighting with her Aunt before voluntarily signing up for the PALADIN Initiative.

14. What does she fear?

Due to her Dad's own health issues, Hannah's a bit afraid of becoming sick or otherwise physically disabled. She's also afraid of her opinions and general person being ignored, which is probably part of why she can be so loud and obnoxious.

15. What are her hopes or aspirations?

Hannah genuinely wants to be a cool soldier/superhero and fight Crustaceans, although she'll joke about becoming a supervillain instead. Basically she wants an exciting, action-packed life. And a girlfriend with huge tits.

16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her?

Hannah doesn't like looking weak, so she'll hide signs of emotional or physical pain. As an example, she's a little reluctant to talk about her father and how much she misses him. In general, she'll try and downplay how much she actually cares about her loved ones and the opinions of others.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents.

Hannah's mother, Diana Bai, has an iffy relationship with her daughter, being more like her glamorous, go-getter older sister, rather than a mother. Diana's actually a little insecure about her lack of a maternal connection with her daughter, although Hannah herself thinks her mother's pretty cool. Mostly. She wishes her mother understood her better though, even if she's otherwise kind of cool, and she's mad that her mother went ahead and moved Hannah in with Aunt Marianne rather than try and raise Hannah herself.

Hannah's father, Henry Bai, is tragically dead. This is particularly unfortunate, because Henry was infinitely patient and encouraging of his daughter when he was alive, and it's probably at least partly his fault that Hannah's so insufferably self-confident. Hannah adores/adored him, and firmly believed that her father was a linguistic genius who was under-appreciated in his time. (He was very smart, but no.)

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?

Hannah is a spoiled rotten only child.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand?

Her maternal grandparents, Mary and John Ma, Aunt Marianne Cheung, Uncle Cheung, and her cousins Sophia and Isabella Cheung. The only person out of these six that Hannah really gets along with is her grandmother, who's pretty much your stereotypical cookie-baking grandmother with always a pat for her grandchildren's head. Her grandfather, alas, is highly critical of his granddaughters, and considers them spoiled brats.

Hannah actually used to get along okay with Aunt Marianne, until her Dad died and she moved in with her Aunt's family. Then she began to find Aunt Marianne too bossy and over-controlling and the two of them fought. A lot. Enough so that Hannah willingly volunteered for PALADIN in order to get away from and spite her aunt.

Hannah doesn't get along well with Sophia (age eight) and Isabella (age six) either- she considers both of them insufferably bratty and annoying and they consider her weird and annoying, so they fight a lot. And since Aunt Marianne always takes her daughters' side, that just makes things more strained.

Her Uncle Cheung is allergic to conflict and somehow always manages to be busy with work whenever his female relations are fighting.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them?

...Uncle Cheung isn't related by blood.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?

Hannah's best friend is Riley Martinez, a fellow playful prankster. They met through school, since they shared the same English class, and since Shakespearean plays were something that interested neither of them they took to pestering each other instead, discovered they had a similar sense of humor, and so began collaborating on many evil plots.

6. Does she have other close friends?

Hannah is a personal Manic Pixie (Friendship) Dream Girl for two troubled teens at her school, Ada Mack and Scott Head, both of whom are willing to occasionally skip out on skipping class and smoking cigarettes if whatever shenanigans Hannah has in mind sound interesting enough. Even if Hannah is kind of a nerd, she's a nerd with fireworks.

7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people?

Hannah makes friends easily enough, it's keeping them that's the problem, because in the long-term she's prone to offending people and then never realizing and making proper amends for it.

8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends?

Friends, on both a personal and philosophical level.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once?

Single. She's sixteen- she's not likely to have married yet!

10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?

11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest?

12. What does she look for in a romantic partner?

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any?

14. Does she have any rivals or enemies?
