Legends tell of a young girl cursed by a foul creature. A creature of unimaginable terror. Because of her curse, she isolated herself in a mysterious forest outside of civilization.
Before her dreadful curse she was a beautiful little girl with bright blue eyes full of wonder and dark, curly red hair that was thick and long. Her skin was pale and had a contagious smile framed by freckled cheeks. She stood small and thin with a spirit large and pure. She was positive and some saw her as a light. This girl was one that would be hard to find but with a personality that was hard to miss.
The young girl had fallen in love with a man tall and handsome. His hair was short, thick and a dirty blonde. His eyes were as blue as the clearest sky. He was cunning and sweet, the way he made her laugh. Together they were happy and joyful, but after their months of joy came a darkness, hungry for destruction.
A vicious beast that is said to have piercing eyes that burned bright and hot like the fiery pits of Hell, destroyed the girl's love. She tried to run away but the beast had her. She struggled to escape its grasp as it revealed its teeth, ready to prey. She tried to scream, but her screams were muted by the terror gleaming from the demon’s eyes.
The monster licked its lips and then stroked the girl's neck with its crimson tongue. The girl then shuddered in pain and squirmed as its tongue burned her flesh. The beast then growled with a smile as if planning something devious and laughing. The girl gathered up all the courage she could find within her and glared into the demons eyes. Looking into the creatures very soul. The demon suddenly dropped the young girl and put its clawed hands to its face shrieking in pain.
The girl fell to the ground, spraining her ankle. She let out a loud yelp of pain and got back on her feet and ran away. She found a church and went inside. The demon could not enter the holy building, and so it circled the property waiting for its chance.
Knowing that she was safe in the church, she limped her way throughout the halls of the building, looking for a priest or a holy man who could bless her and cast out the demon that had attacked her and had taken away her love.
As she entered the chapel, at the end of the aisle, she saw an old man wearing the traditional clothing of a pastor. She asked the pastor for his help to bless and cast out the beast that was after her. The pastor, seeing the mark left on her neck by the creature nodded and worked immediately.
As the Pastor blessed her, she could hear the demon screech outside the doors. She felt the mark on her neck left by the fowl creature’s tongue burn intensely like fire. She covered her ears scared and toughened her way through the pain. Then finally, everything fell silent and she collapsed to the floor. The evil deity was gone.
The pastor put a blanket on her and said to the weak and tired girl “The demon can not hurt you now . . . But I fear that this blessing is not enough to undo this mark it has left on you.” The girl looked at the pastor with eyes that were thankful but still full of fear with tears streaming down her face.
Months went by and it had seemed that her life was back to normal, but one dark night her home was broken into. Her family was put endanger by four robbers threatening their lives. The young girl was angered and scared. She did not know what to do. Suddenly she let out a blood curdling scream of pain. The thieves stared at her with interest and concern. One of the robbers approached the young girl and put his hand on her mouth telling her to shut up. The girl burst into flames, burning the man and the house around her. She threw a destructive tantrum, killing the robbers and destroying her home in bright flames.
Finally after two minutes, her flames died down and she returned to normal. She passed out and collapsed to the floor and rested in a pool of her own blood that escaped from her now cracked skin.. Her house had been engulfed by the fire she produced. Her skin was like cracked porcelain, making her look like a broken doll that lied limp on the ash of what was once her home. Her cracks began to heal and quickly and quite unnaturally. When she woke, she was confused and lost. She found the bodies of the four robbers and the bodies of what appeared to be the family that she loved.
So she left the town with tears flooding down her face. She ran into the forest that sat just outside of her hometown and was never seen again.
