It was quiet and still dark outside. I stared up at the white ceiling above the bed. After a few moments I sat up. Placing my fingers on my forhead, I was surprised to find a soft layer of sweat lining my head and chest. I must have had a bad dream, something I can never remember. I looked at the young man sleeping next to me. He hadn't moved from when I woke up for the first time tonight. I'm not even sure I actually fell asleep. Pushing the covers off me, I crept out of the bed and moved out of the room and then onto the back porch. There was a light mist in the air and the rain clouds covered the sky in a sea of bursting black foam. A cold breeze made me feel slightly better about not sleeping so well. It didn't matter all that much to me after all, I only went to school and returned and then back again. Its an ever repeating cycle. I leaned back on the railing of the porch and stared up at the window of my bed room. I could make out the sleeping figure of the young man. Closing my eyes, I knew I would never see him after the morning. I would send him away and fetch anyother when the unending lonliness begins to settle in once more. This is also part of my daily life. Finding some poor fool to fill my lonliness for the night and then sending him away without a second thought to him. Perhaps...its time to find a permenant solution to this lonliness. Closing my eyes, I only could chuckle at the thought. For really, who would want to spend their nights with someone like me.
