the late night hours always seem to bring out the worst in me
tonight i am lonely
tonight i shared my loneliness with a friend
but my loneliness seemed to slip right through their fingers
and they didn't understand
tonight i feel like a fraud
are they my family or are they yours
they'll go their whole life not knowing who i am
and they'll be fine
tonight i am tired
the weight of the world is crushing my lungs
i would like to sleep
but it hurts too much
perhaps i am wrong
but how will i ever know
