reminiscing about the past
about a boy who told me it wasn't safe to be with me
everywhere i go
i bring pain, and misery, and heartbreak
i might as well be the embodiment of these things

but a ten-year streak is hard to break
a ten-year streak of
being cheated on
being used and abused
finding comfort in others
only for them to leave again.
darling, the last person i ever loved
told me they would kill themselves
if i kept my best friend.
but darling, even if it was wrong
and even if you thought it wasn't true
i always loved you.
